Without fail, every time I hear Explorers of Sky music - music for a game I have never played - it makes me feel deeply bittersweet nostalgia and a desire to cry. Hot damn, Noble.

If you ever get t he chance to play it by legal ways or by getting a rom… believe me if the music can get to you the story will seal the deal! I won’t spoil anything but the epilogue after the climax has rarely left a dry eye on even grown men! (and what I mean by rarely I mean I only know of one person who didn’t feel teary eyed) the game is a must play for the music and story alone and the gameplay, while the same basis of delving dungeons that are always changing layouts, helps solidify the struggle you and your partner go through! I would say more about this game but if I do would be spoiling it so I seriously recommend people who have never played to actually do it and to not rush through it for maximum effect

The player character of Sky/Time/Darkness is an enigma in the mystery dungeon lore. The future timeline is the same future of the mystery dungeon world, they aren't from a "human world" like the player character of Red/Blue Rescue, nor are they from the real world like the player character of Gates/Super. The PC of Sky (Who im just gonna call the Time Human from now on) is the only human ever seen actually *in* the mystery dungeon universe. This, raises alot of questions, but what I'm trying to answer now is that in this scene said music plays, the Time Human does not get to go back to some human world, or even the future, no he straight up dies, erased from existence. Without the direct intervention of Arceus, that would've been it.

In all seriousness, the place of humans is mysterious in the Mystery Dungeon world. Gengar/the Ninetales Legend and the Time Human, as you say, all but confirm their existence, further supported by the Decrepit Lab and some statements like Uxie's that "no human has ever come [to Fogbound Lake]", but apart from the other protagonists from the specific human world, they're never seen in person in the series and are so unheard of that the children of Serene Village dub them as from fairy tales. Yet more experienced groups, like the Expedition Society, have no trouble at all believing the presumed tall tale of "so I'm a human and got turned into a Pokemon somehow", and Grovyle straight-up knows somebody (the Time Human) who was his partner. It's really odd, in all truth, and arguably more mysterious is how powerful they become as Pokemon - under what circumstances are a Squirtle and a Skitty going to come out on top against Groudon, even if one was formerly human? But this is shared with the partners, too, who are (in most cases) natural-born Pokemon that really shouldn't be much different from the rest. Plot armor aside, what *really* creates that unnatural power? There are still so many mysteries waiting to be solved in the Mystery Dungeon universe. As much as I would love to death a faithful remake of Sky with music like this to get shot in the feels for the first time all over again, I really do hope we can eventually revisit it in a new adventure someday. Tell a new story, meet some new faces from Gens 7-9, and solve some old and new mysteries.

Its been 3 years and 2 days to the mark since I finally experienced this last, final episode for Grovyle after years of putting it off. I've heard a lot of remixes and remasterings of this track, but yours has brought me back the closest to the sheer overflow of emotion I had that night. This is a masterpiece, along with all the others I've heard. I write this with streaks of tears as I say from a deep corner of my heart: Thank you so much for what you have done for these PMD tracks, you outdo yourself each time.

But I’ll let you know how bad this wonderful theme makes me cry with an edit… The edit: gosh…where do I begin ;~; You can hear the warmth of the morning sun. That’s hard to do, not to hear it, to CONVEY it. Just…extraordinary. And that last violin part…just…it sounds like a sharp pained wince accompanied by gentle tears. You did an amazing job on this.
