Spartan Sid in Diamond and Pearl the elite fours and gym leaders would not only have the same type pokemon representing the gym but have different Pokémons that had at least a move representing them. For example, Flint had Driftblim that knows fire blast (I think) and Candice (7th gym leader) had a Medicham that has the move ice punch. I used to thought that was pretty cool to make the battles interesting until they changed that stuff in Platinum.

Liam Heneghan The remakes seem to be not happening until at least 202X, but Platinum is already a remake by itself. It adds more Pokémon, fixes balancing issues, improves the graphics, adds a whole new depth to content after beating the Champion (who also got tweaked to be more well rounded instead of having only 3-4 Pokémon be really powerful), a whole new world, and fixes most of the speed gripes people have with D/P

Flint is my favorite, his Infernape knew Thunderpunch and I was obsessed with it... also his fire-types + had a strong steelix in D/P made his team extremely well versed (Ex: His Rapidash knew Solarbeam and combos it up with Sunny Day). D/P/Pl stepped up their play with the Gym Leaders & Elite 4 AND that beautiful gym leader music is one of my favorite of all time.

The elite 4 of the sinnoh region never seemed to fail at putting up a good fight! Arron and his bug type Pokémon sure did put a good fight but with infernapes help, it defiantly served for a good battle! Bertha wasn’t much of a challenge, my starmie And garchomp were able to quickly sweep her but all and all her team set was rather exciting for sure Flint was a different story, took a couple of times for me to actually crush him down before I got the upper hand! He defiantly lead a good fight for sure! Then there was Lucian, he proved to be a real challenge, I clearly wasn’t ready for his psychic power. It took me awhile before I could finally beat him down but there defiantly was a lot respawns from the last save point!

I don't remember how well I fared against them on my first playthrough, but I started playing again recently, and Bertha almost kicked my ass last night. I had fighting and ground moves for Golem and Sudowoodo (Pearl, btw), but nothing for her Hippowdon, Quagsire, and Whiscash. I also realised this was my first playthrough where I had absolutely no (good) water or grass types. lol

It's honestly one of my favorite Elite 4 Aaron is a Bug type specialist (since it's perceived as the weakest type) I like how Flint is implemented in the game before the E4 And Lucian is just a cool looking tough Psychic specialist. I grinded like hell for my entire team, but only used Garchomp. Garchomp with swords dance, stealth rock, and earthquake were too strong. Dragon claw was my other move on him and it still did a lot of damage. Aside from Garchomp, my Lucario and Gardevoir came in handy too. I also had Infernape and Weavile on deck, but they weren't necessary 😏

I'm sorry, Sinnoh is one of my favorite regions but I just can't remember these guys. The most memorable one for me is Flint because of how much of a joke his Diamond and Pearl team is. I don't really like Aaron or Bertha, and Lucian is just kinda there.

I honestly don't remember the Elite Four with such varied teams (as well as such beautiful pokemon). Up to this point the Elite Four always had almost normal pokemon for a trainer of this caliber and often had more pokemon of the same species or not evolved due to the lack of variety (Lance had 3 dragonites and 2 dragonair, Agatha had Haunter and 2 Gengar, Drake had Shelgon, Frida 2 Glaile and a Sealeo, Phoebe 2 Sableye and 2 Dusclops). I like Flint a lot, he has beautiful pokemon like Infernape and Magmortar, Lucian has Gallade, Alakazam and Espeon, Bertha has Gliscor, Rhyperior and Hippodown, Aaron has Heracross, Drapion, Scizon and Vespiqueen. Few have the right combination of beauty and difficulty like them.

Bertha is definitely the hardest of the Elite Four in Platinum. Gliscour AND Rhyperior on top of Hippowdon is a little much.

If remakes were to be done, which Pokemon would you like to see added in each Elite Four Members' team? For me, I would like to see Crustle and Centiskorch for Aaron's team, Krookodile and Diggersby for Bertha's team, Simisear for Flint's team, and Meowstic for Lucian's team.

I'd like to see a mega for each of their ace (Drapion, Rhyperior, Infernape or Magmortar depending on the version, Gallade). Volcarona and Galvantula (for Yanmega) for Aaron, Excadrill and Gastrodon (for Golem) for Bertha, Rotom heat and Ninetales with Drought or Marowak Alola (for Rapidash) for Flint, Indeedee and Gardenvoir (for Mr Mime). Give each of them a moveset and updated skills and useful status moves. For example Galvantula has Sticky Web, Whiscash has Dragon Dance, Gliscor has Toxic Orb and Poison Heal, Gastrodon has Storm Drain etc etc.

When ever i play and theres someone who will follow you and always heal your pokemon, I always use it as an apportunity to grind and level up, i was like lvl.75 when i entered the sunny shore

I feel like this guy could've done a lot better, he didn't use super effective moves a lot and had sort of a hard time with level 50 pokemon. I destroyed the elite four with level 45s and only a couple revives.
