I always loved how mysterious and eerie each encounter was. The music was incredible in creating a sense of importance or dread, like the player was messing with forces beyond comprehension. The glowing white staircase that raises up to the god pokemon was genius.

This is what legendary hunting should be. I love that finding each legendary makes you feel like you truly went on a journey or puzzle to find. I loved ORAS but I always hated the fact that almost all the legendaries felt like they were just popping right in front of my face with no challenge to find them at all. The recent pokemon dlc make it feel the same way.

Using the azure flute in that one time event and meeting arceus was such an incredible and surreal feeling. Being able to battle and catch probably the rarest and most powerful Pokémon of that time was like being in a dream.

Certainly. Thanks to a friend, both of us were able to get the Azure Flute to meet and catch Arceus. We caught the others too, and then... we battled after a few days. I did not stand a chance against his Flying-type Arceus. Not even Dialga's Roar of Time could beat it. And so, my whole team was obliterated. Definitely, it brings back many memories.

So this is why I always thought Rotom was a legendary before, he even literally has the legendary battle music He 100% IS a legendary Pokemon in gen 4, but they for some weird reason changed that later so he no longer is I guess it was a rare Pokemon, then one day they became common so it was no longer seen as legendary idk

actually it was never a legendary. edit a year later: let me elaborate. one big part of it not being a legendary is that you could breed it from the start. they were common as soon as a player caught one and bred it to send to other people or to have multiples of. GameFreak also never said specifically that rotom was a legendary pokemon.

James Perrott I’m late but it was NEVER a legendary Pokémon. 1.) Not all legendary Pokémon have special music. 2.) Just because there is only one rotom in D/P/Pt doesn’t mean there’s only 1, you learn later in the series that there is more than one rotom. 3.) Legendary/Mythical Pokemon goes based off of stats. Rotom’s stats are that of a normal Pokemon, not a legendary.

I absolutely love this game. Gen 4 is one of my favorites besides Gen 5, but have you ever thought about how creepy and mysterious this game is? I mean, between the legendary's epic music and the side-stories (like de Cresselia/Darkrai one) to Giratina jumping "off-screen". Also, you have to solve all this puzzles in order to find them all. I think the new games lack some of this stuff.

Fun fact, Newmoon Island is a physical location on the map and if you have a "walk through walls"/noclip cheat you can just walk there. It's to the Northeast of the port town the event starts in.

Seeing all these uniques tasks and levels with so many wild physics that I would never think to see in a Pokemon game makes me wonder why GameFreak does not incorporate things like this in the switch titles. So many wild things to work with that would feel fresh and new to players in today's age. The hardware would make it look great as well.

I think it would've been neat if the lake guardians had unique quirks to their battle correlating to their curses. -Mesprit would dodge all contact attacks, as touching Mesprit saps you of your emotions -Dealing direct damage to Azelf paralyzes your pokemon, as harming Azelf will remove your ability to control your body. -Uxie is kinda tricky. Maybe landing a crit would distable that move for the match, because looking into Uxie's eyes wipes your memory?

I legitimately hate that I can't use Dig to escape Tunnels, Teleport to return to a Pokémon Center, Sweet Scent to attract Wild Pokémon or anything else of the sort because HMs were removed. I know that those moves themselves weren't HMs but they lost their field purpose when HMs were removed. Fly, Surf, Strength, Waterfall, Dive, Defog and Rock Climb were also all half-decent moves in battle and had a field effect that was actually useful. The legitimate problem was the inability to delete them, and Cut, Flash and Rock Smash having HM status at one time or another. An easy fix in that case is: Make Cut a TM with a field purpose. Flash and Rock Smash should also be TMs with a field purpose as they were in XY. How to solve the issue of progressing without facing the Gym for permission to use it outside of battle? Don't use those objects as obstacles to halt progress or have it so that you still require a Gym Badge to use certain field moves. They made it much more awkward than it was originally.

I am new to Pokémon and someone told me that if a Pokémon can learn any HM’s it’s the best Pokémon to use. So I used my pink flying cat and his dad to use HM’s. If I need to change anything please say :)
