Honestly, the rule about catching the first poke in the route makes sense for a normal nuzlocke, but for a mono type challenge, that doesn't make sense. Also if you are unable to catch the first one on the route, you are forever not being able to catch anything in the route dont make sense as well. You are already limited in the pokemon you are catching in the game, further limits doesn't make sense. If your encounter is in safari zone, you are completely at the mercy of the RNG of poke not running away, and that is not a strategy. Some RNG is fine, but completely on RNG is not worth it. I am also tired of seeing mediocre shit on evolutions, if they are locked behind trade so getting porygon is not a bad thing.

Besides dragon types, normal may be one of the most versatile types. They can learn a lot of really strong moves depending on which normal type it is. Many can learn flamethrower and thunder bolt and hyper beam too

Don’t forget only 4 counters, 1 of which is super effective against it and 1 immune to normal. Flamethrower for steel types and brick break/ surf (lickylikey can learn that) for the rock types

Like let's be real, unless you're doing competitive Pokémon, what are the odds you'll get to use a Munchlax/Snorlax on a playthrough? Little to none. And it being the second encounter on that tree when the others were unusable mons... I would definitely have used it. All Nuzlocke rules are self imposed at the end of the day. I am sure you enjoyed the playthrough more for using the Snorlax, and thats what matters. Thanks for the vid, well made

I found your channel by searching for this challenge. I decided to do one myself, and after seeing how hard it was from my own experience, I wanted to see how someone else would navigate it. To my surprise you made this "challenge" a massive cakewalk, I lost my run at crasher wake, and I now feel so discouraged, but after seeing you Dominate this challenge! The first time I successfully beat a Platinum Hardcore Nuzlocke after several failures, I encountered a Female Munchlax in Floaroma Meadow. I CRIED in joy, knowing the stupidly low encounter rate, captured it and named it Miracle. Super glad Antler used it, finding Munchlax in Platinum is equivalent or harder to get than a a Shiny.

Dusknoir died to lucians bronzong ( i used curse to chip his health and bronzong killed me with a +2 psychic) And weavile died to cynthias togekiss ( it survived a nerver melt ice boosted super effective stab ice punch and killed weavile with an aura sphere)

I genuinely couldn't care less that you "broke the Nuzlocke code" or whatever, I NEVER see people actually use Munchlax or Snorlax that they get from the game proper. Hell, the only person I can even remember see using it was MDB, and it was ONLY because he (totally justifiably) coded the starter to be one in one of his Solo challenges of Platinum (because it would have probably taken him WEEKS if not MONTHS to get it naturally). You're right too, when you only have less than 10 Normal Pokemon you can use, just use it.
