Rules of the challenge:
Normal Nuzlocke Ruleset:
1. Fainting = Death
2. Can only catch the Type Pokémon on each Route (Species Clause)
3. Nickname Pokémon
Hardcore Nuzlocke Ruleset:
4. No items in battle (held items okay)
5. No leveling past the next gym leader/E4 (at the START of the battle)
6. Play on "Set" battle mode

Fun fact. Gen 2 moves like Sing/Supersonic have a 1/2 chance of hitting if used by an NPC. It's basically a coin toss.

Pokemon Adventure Red would be so amazing for a Professor Oak Challenge. It follows Red's story from the Manga, starting in Pallet Town all the way to the Orange Islands (maybe even further) has a whole bunch of interesting main and sidequests, a bunch of interesting Pokemon and is made with a lot of love and time invested

Hey CM. Had a romhack/type suggestion. Pokemon Crystal Clear Fire Type AND picking Growlithe as your starter. Arcanist is my favourite pokemon (I know super basic but I don't care lol) so figured I'd just throw the starter suggestion on top of it for fun. 1 - open world so you can technically go catch a full team from go 2 - open world so you can pick the gym you want to do first 3 - you can keep it interesting by adding in a team size cap equal to the leaders gym team size. They have 1 mon, you get 1 and so on Anyways loving the content, keep up the great work! I don't tend to comment much but figured I would today since you were asking for suggestions. I doubt you're short on ideas but it is a great way to do the ideas that the fans would like to see more first which I respect.

Be interesting to see if he picked Growlithe for sure, but if he REALLY wanted to bust out a good Fire-type Nuzlocke on Crystal Clear, I'd actually legitimately recommend him choosing Vulpix due to its moveset. I was a winner for one of their very first tournaments and as a prize I'd requested it to be added with its Egg Move set, including Hypnosis and Feint Attack for better coverage. Nothing personal against the doggo, but when they've been version exclusives for so long, I suppose we can't help our biases huh? X3

I would appreciate a playthrough of Pokémon Blazed Glazed. Don't know which types are viable, to be honest. But you can choose between five starters: the Sinnoh starters, Shinx and Riolu (the Luxray line also gets the dark type). Maybe an electric type playthrough could be viable, as I think you can get more than one encounter before the first gym A fun side challenge would be capturing all of the legendaries, although you will definitely need a guide for that.

I've recently been playing Red++. Its a Red hack that modernizes the game and adds alot of quality of life, while still keeping some notable Gen 1 mechanics. It has a "wonder trade" mechanic that includes any pokemon available at your pokemon's level as well as including some later gen pokemon, so most types should work. The only ones that I don't think would are Dragon, Ghost and Steel

I've been enjoying Emerald Enhanced. A monolocke in that might be pretty difficult, since a lot of the gym leaders punish straight type advantage hard. Flannery, for example, always starts with her drought torkoal, nerfing fire's usual obvious weakness to water and letting some of her mons wipe out rock and/or ground types with instant solarbeams. But there's excellent selection, and no need for HMs. There's a small route south of Littleroot where you can find all the starters, plus Tangela and Beldum. I'm planning to do a casual run with just fossils here soon.

You should try fools gold out, I'm doing a mono ghost run myself right now, all the pokemon are gen 1 and 2, but with either new subtypes, or completely different typings, and the starters are a different type triangle, and I imagine that the flying type would be pretty easy

A random warning for Gaia but sucker punch in that game is basically just a 80 base power quick attack without needing for you to use an attacking move. Beware of Umbreon

Polished Crystal 3.0 nightly with only Fire types sounds like something possible, though since it is a beta in very active development you gotta hope the latest build you may grab on Github doesn't have too many bugs, but it's generally fine and playable from start to finish. Was also thinking about TPP Anniversary Crystal with only grass type but meh, if you want to do this one in a week you would probably have to stop after the league unfortunately, since getting to the end of the story requires catching every pokémon, and the usually pretty insane level up learnset for every pokémon doesn't always make things very fair. Also the 3rd gym I think would be possibly too much, even with potential sleep powder and poison coverage among others. Still I wish more content creators tried to do things with this hack.

What a trainwreck. I mean, they suggested Rock Monolocke because you're forced to have Larvitar as your starter(and not ground because Larvitar becomes the Rock/Dark type Tyranitar), but according to the Nuzlocke bill of rights, it's said you can ditch Larvitar when you get your first Pokemon of the better type. Maybe do Steel on your next Prism run? 6_^ (I wanted to do romhacks but when I got through the first half of Storm Silver, I couldn't load my manual save and could only use save states.)

So the TLDR Of my Suggestion is I would like meatball to do a Hardcore nuzlock of pokemon crystal clear using the flying type And if you want to hear my full thoughts on it you can read down below So I've wanted meatball to do a hardcore nuzlock of crystal clear for almost a year And I couldn't really think of a good type to pair with it at 1st I thought we'll just use one of the types from the types from the Box mascot Swinub But thing is you already used ground types in the original crystal and I honestly think that ice would be suicide to do And then he hit me the one camp that everybody gives when you're 1st playing this game this game is go to goldenrod and grab Kenya the Sparrow Because hes got fly and the game opens up because of that And boom there's your starter right there Plus flying has a very interesting diversity when it comes to its subtypes also having the entire world open to you on the word go is just a massive plus And also I would just love to try to figure out the 16 gyms in which order to tackle them all in and what his thought process would be Anyway that's enough of me rambling all I'll say is I hope that this is considered
