I’m returning with another guidebook series, this time Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire! In Part 1, we will look through the opening sections that detail the game mechanics, such as catching Pokémon, secret bases, and Pokémon Contests. If you played these games as a child like I did, I hope these videos can bring back fond memories. If you never played these games, but have played newer Pokémon games, I hope these videos can be insightful about Pokémon’s early beginnings and the growth the series has seen over the years. And I hope regardless of whether you have played the games or not, that you can still find this video relaxing. ☺️ Thank you for watching!

anyone else ever notice how most of the "villains" in pokemon are trying to create better habitats for the animals and humans? we're union busters

don't think you completely understood story. Gym bosses are good character for Pokémon, you only have to beat them for medals. villains don't care about Pokemon wealth and habitat, they only want to exploit them for many reasons; economic, conquer ecc...

I owned this exact same guide, I still do actually. I owned most of the guides up to Gen 4 and they were fantastic reads. I'd be all in favour of collecting them again, but those old ones go for insane prices on eBay...

I wish this video never ended. This is one of the best ASMR videos ever!! Your voice is amazing and this is so perfect to sleep to or just listen to it's very calming 😊 thank you so much!! Sapphire was my first Pokemon game and will always be my favorite. I liked Kyogre better too and I thought everyone would pick the red version (ruby) so I wanted to be different haha. I've replayed the game so many times and learned how to solder so I could repair the battery! I have so much love for gen 3 ❤I wouldn't mind if you did more videos on this nope not at all

Holy nostalgia I had that exact guide book and went through it so many times the binding ripped apart. It was also sticky from spilled soda haha

These guidebooks were so good. And they always had a Pokedex with movesets in the back. The Zelda ones were great too. Books like these made gaming feel like a quest or an adventure. Googling things doesnt hit the same way.

Thanks for the throwback. I used to grow up playing/collecting pokemon cards and played the games up to Gen 3 with Ruby and Emerald. All those 300+ pokemon, moves, Natures, EVs, IVs I still can't forget. Even looking at that map reminds me where the waterfall to the Elite four are, the twins island, the Nosepass gym island (guess I never really remembered the town names, besides Verdanturf Town which I would go into just to listen to the music )

That’s the crazy thing about Pokémon, it somehow sticks with you. I’ve learned names of native plants and they all flew out of my brain, but you bet I can name all 1000+ Pokémon 😂

Nail tapping would definitely improve this, just suggestions, I was born in 1997 and grew up playing Pokémon starting with Pokémon yellow and Pokémon gold. I had both leaf green and fire red and ruby/emerald/sapphire out of the 3 emerald was my favorite because it was different from ruby/sapphire, FR&LF were basically just like Yellow too me but slightly different

I like a lot of the quality of life improvements in the new games, but I still love the old games as well. Gen 3 is where the games got a lot better for sure (Gen 1 and 2 are a little rough to go back to but Gen 3 still holds up!)

As a child I knew the games were going off the deep end during this generation of Pokémon. I get it. Infinite amount of Pokémon. 3rd gen showed me the magic was gone and it was on its way to being mainstream.
