I adored the Paradox Pokémon in base game and I can tell you exactly why. Because they were creatures unknown, beasts never seen to Paldea, thought to be myths. They were cryptids, true and through, and I adored that. But then you get to Area Zero and there’s a ton of them, still cool but less impactful. Bloodmoon is everything I could have asked for and more, and GameFreak knew what they were doing. It has the stance of a Sasquatch. It has the walk of a Sasquatch. Hell, it ties into the idea of real Sasquatch sightings ‘just being a bear’. And there’s only the one, hiding from humans, found only by a careful investigator who only ended up with blurry photos. Bloodmoon is the perfect Cryptid Pokémon in a generation of Cryptid Pokémon, and I adore it. Here’s hoping more encounters like this happen soon.

I knew Ogrepon was going to be an instant favorite of mine, the moment I saw her little face peeking out for the mask!😊 Now I love her even more to a point I would adopt her!🥰 Also, after catching the "Loyal" Three, I've noticed that they kind of remind me of the three outlaws from "The Princess Bride" (which of course I nicknamed mine after them 😅). Okidogi is Fezzik = Big intimating-looking brute with a soft heart (at least mine is 😅). Also I ironically caught him with a Luxury Ball (the ball that is said to make mean/bad Pokémon friendlier). So I imagine Okidogi being the least bad of the three. Fezandipiti is Inigo = The suave, charming, cunning pretty boy (yes, Fezandipiti is a male, which makes since because most male birds are naturally prettier than the females). Monkidori is Vizzini = No need for a heavy explanation.😅

Considering how it’s pretty much stated in the games that only ONE Ursaluna is shown to have this form this indicates that he is the only Ursaluna of his kind with that form and is perhaps maybe even the only Ursaluna to be still alive in the present day. It’s somewhat of a mystery as to how he got that form though, how he has lived so long and exactly how he came to Kitakami, all we know for certain is that something about the environment in Kitakami caused his appearance to change and that he somehow crossed the seas to end up in Kitakami. Additionally it’s heavily implied his long lifespan is due to his unique form (I call this Ursaluna a he since this Ursaluna can only be male, you can’t get a female one)

@@baltoy7460 I thought I read somewhere that Basculin came from the north but I guess I (or whatever I read) was wrong ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ my bad, it actually just says they come from a “frigid sea”, which in all fairness sounds pretty Sinnoan, even if it isn’t explicitly stated like I thought. Honestly though, I think the idea that Kitakami is somewhere between Johto and Sinnoh holds up considering the Hisuian Pokémon and sheer amount of Johtonian Pokémon that appear. It gets a little stronger when you consider that the real-life Kitakami is located north of Kansai (Johto’s inspiration) and Hokkaido (Sinnoh’s inspiration). Alternatively, I might just be attracted to the idea and am forcing connections, which could be just as likely. I’m just thinking out loud anyway. It’s not like it would really mean anything if it were confirmed, but it’s still fun to think about.

I like pokemon violet and scarlet except for a few small things! Namely link trades and character attire! It used to be that in link trades you could actually communicate with whoever you were trading with, like if you were looking for a specific pokemon, you could actually send a message in the trade to tell someone “do you have this specific pokemon” and “are you willing to trade it”! For some reason in the latest pokemon games you cant do that anymore, and it’s completely ruined link trading! As for character attire, scarlet and violet were a huge letdown in that department! Seriously all you get in the game are four different kinds of school uniforms and thats it! I’m hoping that at some point, they add in pokemon themed armor! I’m hoping they take a page out of the monster hunter book and add in something like pokemon armor that you can craft and forge from Pokémon materials! My character would look so awesome decked out in some ghost themed armor!

Honestly, it was slightly disappointing that Bloodmoon Ursaluna wasn't a Dark type Pokémon. Since the moon and most lunar moves, abilities, and other Pokemon are Dark typed (Except for Lunatone cause, why not?!), it would have been cool to have "The BloodMoon Bear" as a dark type, and the move "Blood Moon" be a Dark type too. But no, we just have "Its a Bear! But it stands!! And that is NORMAL!!!!".

Man is this honestly it? I just played for ten hours, was very underwhelmed and the game crashed and it took me back to the start and I just really don’t feel like putting in those hours again for a mediocre storyline, now I know this is all the new Pokémon you can get, I don’t think I’ll bother. I kind of liked the new games but this seems very, very lazy
