I loved Lugia’s, Feraligatr, Typhlosion and some of them looked a mix between animals and Pokémon cries. But some of them(like my boy Ampharos) was super bad since they took a regular sheep cry and called it a day but other than that they were better and GB cries

Fun fact about Sunflora, Natu, Xatu, Azumarill, and Ampharos: 2:10 to 2:20, 2:34, 2:52 and 3:40 Their fainting animation is completely different starting in Pokemon Colosseum. Any other Pokemon that share this characteristic?

I was thinking the same. Here we just have Misdreavus, Slugma and Magcargo fainting in a particular style. At least they should have made grass types as Sunflora and Meganium hiding in their petals, or Jumpluff lose its cotton. Now recently realizing that there's not many fighting types, I was expecting one screaming as Machamp in Stadium 1.

I always hated the fact that the animations of Pokémon stadium 2 look nothing like the first game. In Pstadium 1 pokemon felt like real creatures. It's like gamefreak didn't have money to make decent animations for second gen.

Game Freak didn't make this game, they only make the main series games. They assisted slightly (likely with battle mechanics) IIRC but didn't directly develop this game. I honestly find these ones to be fine. I agree on Stad 1 having better animations but there are some here that are fantastic too. The little details of the larger Pokémon slamming against the ground is brutal like Meganium and Tyranitar. Lugia's faint animation is among the best of both the games imo.

Daniel RodBar Yeah, in Stadium1 the Pkmn are so active, taunting/roaring and stuff and the camera is always fading out with a black screen with cool transitions, in pkmn stadium 2 the pkmn are just... staring at each other, they don't do anything unless you wait several seconds... Also in the first game every Pkmn had their own camera angle for when they faint, focusing it to its face (Plus the announcer/commentator sounds more exited through the battles, it's just a better game, it really feels like they put so much love and effort when making that game)

Well they look a hell of a lot better then Sword and Shield. A game coming out in 2019 on the Switch while this came in the 90's (I think, if not then 2000) on the N64. You would think having a stronger console they would take advantage of that, but they don't and charge more then these games retailed for. I'm more disappointed in the animations of the modern 3D Pokemon games:/
