A good out against Mega Scizor would have been to immediately pivot to Metang on the predicted Bullet Punch, drop its Speed with a Bulldoze while tanking Bug Bite, pivot back to Aerodactyl on the next Bug Bite, THEN switch to Houndoom on the Bullet Punch. After Bulldoze, you could have outsped and gotten the KO

Probably the Palkia in the last trial have Arena Trap to prevent switch, but Arena Trap doest work against pokemon outside the ground, so flying types and levitate pokemon like Registeel are immune

I think the reason you can’t get roared in Totem fights is they needed to code it as a Wild Pokemon battle so they could use the Pokémon call thing, so they also had to make sure you couldn’t escape like against box legendary fights

Against Acerola, I believe Dialga would’ve lived a rockslide and wimp out would’ve been a free switch at that point. Then again, it would’ve been playing around a crit, but I think that might’ve been better than sacking Scizor and Primarina 🧐
