In his video answering the common question what clay he uses, he also answered that question. He said it was from a factory incident, and had to be closed by surturing, a method where you burn or melt the open wound to close it.

@@aleahlrb The word surturing doesn't exist. There's a similar word, suturing, but that is to close a wound with a needle and thread, kinda like sewing the wound shut. The method you described is called cauterization ☺ But thanks for telling us, I was also curious!
