Main goal of these video concept ideas:
My main goal for these kind of videos is to be as creative as possible!
Let me explain:
- Firstly, my very first channel Mixeli (But also my latest one Volipok) post tons of Gameplays from Every Generation (Which once again was played and recorded by myself in it's entirety. It took me many years of works.)
My video have Educational Value and let me explain why: It does provide help to the user who watch the video. One of the few example for that is which musics is played from my gameplays. It could easily be found on video cards (The exclamation mark "!" you see on the video above at the right) and vice versa. (This mean that on this video for example, you could also find my actual battle gameplays of where this music is played)
- Secondly, My video are transformative enough, I took the time to play the game and recording the musics. I took the time to improve it's original quality using Vegas Pro. Thanks to a program called "Track EQ" that you can find on Vegas Pro.
This program allow the user to enhance it's original quality and further improving it. This need concentration as each version has different audio quality.
- Thirdly and as you have noticed: On each Generation, I use different background that I bought on a website called Shutterstock. (Which I have bought at least 336 pictures background, just so I can become as creative as possible and also work on a lot of different style using those background)
This kind of concept was created by myself since 2011. Today it has become one of the main concept of my channel that I personally created.
- Lastly is to bring the community together. I have noticed that so many people are commenting and giving their opinions on the video, sharing their experience about characters from the game, confirming theory, saying funny stuff and I find this extremely amazing and interesting! I don't want their comment to be unnoticed so I have plan for the future of my content about commenting and sharing their experience on videos that I will produce one day!

Hop is the first time any trainer *swapped out their signature pokemon* at some point. He swaps out his wooloo at one point and doesn't use it for two battles. This is like a player deciding to box their starter. Hop wants to beat you so badly, he thought the problem might be his first pokemon. This is subtle character development.

You know what's sad. In Wyndon there's a girl who gets Marnie's autograph and treasures it. There are people who talk about "that gym challenger, "player name", is so good." Bede became a Gym Leader, and got plenty of recognition during his fights with the protagonist. Hop, however, is barely ever mentioned by any character in passing conversation. No one remembers him. He's always left out. You crush his dreams. You push him out of his one chance to be in the spotlight. But you stay friends, because you do care about him. And what we don't realize, is that Hop himself roots for us as well, even after we beat him. Because that's what true friendship is. We become famous, the first person to beat the longstanding Champion Leon. His older brother, who we almost put out of a job (Battle Tower helped). But he is still nice, when others would be rude. Marnie always saw it as a fun tournament, in a sense. Hop saw it as his one hope for some recognition. And he, luckily, got fans, some friends, and developed as a person along the way. A salute for the innocent one, who we so brutally crushed. o7

I don’t care that this comment is a whole year old, I’m going to drop my dumb analysis/theory thing of Hop here I don’t think we actually crushed Hop’s true dreams. I think, even if he didn’t realize it, he never wanted to be champion. He just wanted love, recognition, and to find his calling in life. He thought his calling was to be champion, because that’s what his brother was, that’s what his family loved his brother for, that’s what he thought he was meant for. But it was never HIM, it was never HIS dream, he just thought this was the only path for him. However, through his journey and defeats, he learned more about himself. He realized what he loves most about Pokémon, and that he’d be happiest being a Pokémon professor. We all saw how determined he is for his goals. He never once gave up, no matter how badly he crushed him. He easily could have become a rival to us like Raihan was to Leon, if that’s what he wanted. I bet he could even win someday if he kept trying. But he didn’t do that, because he didn’t want to do that. We didn’t crush his dreams. We helped him find them.

I love this battle music so much, bc it literally tells Hop’s character arc in a couple minutes. It starts super exciting, as Hop was excited to start his journey. It goes on at the same pace until it slows down, representing the hardest part of his journey after being beat by bede. But it then goes back to its previous pacing, showing the resilience of Hop’s personality. It’s beautiful how the composer of the music pays attention to his arc, and that captures the emotion during your battle with Hop. Further proof that this game’s soundtrack is amazing.

@Raphael Tamano i do feel as if they were pressed on time because of the dlc areas having more detail and visual quality as well as more full flesged cutscenes because of the lack of a deadline in comparison to the original game with only a few real cutscenes and less wild area detail(also kind of unrelated and not part of the main poind but zamazentas tail clips through its cape at times showing the lack of time to look for somthing like that)

Ok I'll say it, Hop is my favourite rival. This arc of basically coming to grips with the fact that he isn't the protagonist is really interesting and his less antagonistic persona is nice. Hop wiped me SO many times in his final battle. But I genuinely couldn't get mad at him. I raged, sure, but it was always at his Pokemon. I never got angry that I lost to him, just that I lost. When I saw his dialouge after the battle, I was kinda upset, because he said nothing important. He just told me something along the lines of, "keep training and you'll beat me", essentially doing a reset to before the battle, and I wanted him to celebrate his victory. I know he's just a pile of code, but Hop was the only rival I felt terrible for beating. I was a bit upset when I beat Marnie, I was flippant when I beat Bede. But Hop feels like someone who deserves to win.

I only won after training in the League and adding Zamazenta to my party. Took Zaican down with a Behemoth Bash and a Snipe Shot. Gotta say, it felt so fitting that my first partner was the one to land the final blow.

I find it interesting that Hop picks the starter weaker to yours, not because he wants to be nice to you, but because he wants to beat the one his brother will get. I definitely love how Hop's teams through the entire game very much explain his arc, He starts off with his Wooloo but then Ditches it for other pokemon because he doesn't feel like his partners are strong enough to help him grow, but eventually he comes back around and brings in Wooloo Evolved as his frontliner, Although I really wish Wooloo's Evolution had a Gigantamax and was his Final pokemon in this specific fight instead of the starter to really really bring around his story arc through his team choices, but he has a very good arc as a Rival anyways.

The game says he has watched absolutely every one of Leon's matches, and you don't notice it, but when he keeps saying "HA I knew you would know type matchups." After the third time you're like, dang kid, I know. Can you learn yourself? Then you fight against Leon and he says it but in his own words. Then it hit me about Hop's entire character. He wanted to be an exact copy of his brother. He does absolutely everything he does. His one mission is beating the unbeatable Leon, his brother, so who else will do it than his own blood? Hop is smart, and knew that if he picked the starter weaker to yours, he had the advantage over Leon's (sadly he never makes it to the actual championship...) This and his arc climax with the doggo made it come full circle, after realizing maybe Pokemon battles is not his thing.

What I loved about Hop was how passionate he was to reach his ambitious dream. His entire arc is a struggle to find his own identity through his career as a trainer and made each loss of his a new determination to become stronger. He kept falling down, but he always got back up. Hop only looks up to others, never down. In the end even his final team didn't work out, but he was ok with that because the only person you can be is yourself. He dreamed big, and let that drive his character. This music reflects that in a bittersweet way.

Actually grows as a person as he realizes that he isn’t the protagonist and even ends up learning in the Pokémon research lab 2. His themes are absolute bops 3. This is probably the most masterfully tragic-sounding rendition of a rival theme I’ve ever heard. It’s so SERIOUS in comparison to his normal theme. This battle is Hop’s EVERYTHING. His entire life’s goal, his heritage, his sense of self worth....it’s ALL on the line for him, and you can TELL he’s just...terrified. He’s genuinely under pressure to perform, and so he tries to perform under Leon’s battling model, the only model for skill in Pokémon battling he’s ever had growing up. He doesn’t just WANT this win, he genuinely NEEDS this win to feel good about himself, you can tell. It’s HEARTBREAKING to be forced by the story to have to beat him. Honestly, this music tells a better story than the actual game. It’s clear by this point that Hop is more and more aware that he’s falling behind, and no one is more aware of it than him. He knows he probably doesn’t have the ability to beat his brother, but he still has a deep belief that his entire dream and goal in life is to beat him and prove he’s more than just “the champion’s brother”. That’s why the final battle theme almost feels like his regular battle theme is buried inside of it, as if he’s trying to distance himself from how he was earlier in the game and finally prove himself. Obviously, as the true protagonists we know this is inevitably futile, but Hop doesn’t. There’s a massive element of tragedy to the whole song.

I honestly loved Hop. When I first started playing the game, he just seemed like that generic, overly eager and energetic kind of "rival", but he wound up having some of the best character development I've seen in the newer games. He felt so defeated when, no matter how hard he tried, he could never win. He was constantly changing his team, trying to adjust to the adversities he faced between the protagonist, Bede, and everyone else; the first time that has ever been done with a rival, to this extent. By the end of the game, and the post-game, his character had grown on me so much. I genuinely felt bad when I beat him, especially in the league, when he made that solemn but accepting face. I just finished Shield after 3 years of leaving it uncompleted. Hop's words in the final battle in the Slumbering Weald really tugged at my heartstrings. "Back then, my dream was to be strong, like Lee. But now, he isn't the champion. I... I don't know what my dream is anymore." You can see that he's sad for a moment, but looks back up at you, the player, with a smile. I could've sworn I started crying right then and there. I'm so glad that Hop has found his true passion. I really loved SWSH. I got so attached to the characters, especially the ones that helped me in the final battles, Piers, Leon and Hop. I was drawn in by the story. There were some truly heart wrenching moments that brought me to tears. The graphics are incredible. You can fight me on that because I'm not taking it back. Twilight Wings really brought out the Gym Leaders' and other characters' relationships and how they interact with each other. Galar was a brilliant journey. Generation 8 was a brilliant era. But, now it's time to wait another decade for a SWSH remake.

Hop reminds me of us, the older pokemon players. Like him we were excited to begin our adventure, we struggled to make good teams and overcome difficulties and finally we came to the league in order to defeat the champion. When I faced Hop in the league, I saw myself as a kid, with this HOPe to win. I played long enough to see myself becoming the difficulty I once faced and I'm happy to see new blood playing pokemon

This theme is the best trainer theme I’ve heard. It actually made me cry because 1 the theme is good and 2 the chanting and clapping elevates the tone and 3 I know I will destroy this kid’s dream but the theme symbolizes that he’s gonna try his best even if knowing he will loose. What I’m trying to say is that this theme’s tone is kinda similar to a mercy kill where the person allows you to end them.

I personally love Hop's character arc. Especially the fact that while he is going through his depression from after Kabu's Gym up until the fight with him in Circhester, he tries multiple different ways to win, even going as far as putting away his first ever Pokémon and best friend Wooloo / Dubwool. And after he is out of his depression, he starts using his partner once again. It's personally in my opinion really cool.

Dude this song has a whole story to it. It's like how Hop changed throughout the game. Going from a happy and energetic kid to falling into a state of depression and lack of self confidence to still trying to discover himself. The sound track in this game was the best I have heard for any games in awhile.

Recently, I noticed that Hop was basically Kieran but kinder. They both felt like they weren’t strong enough to fulfill their dreams and made everything in their power to catch up… although Hop is a kind soul who struggled alone from his weaknesses while Kieran turned revengeful and developed jealousy toward us. Ironically, the kind one was hated by the fandom while the mean one is now considered as one of the best rival… I love both tbh tho, but Hop remains my fav. If only Pokémon would have make him harder to battle like they did in the bb academy, more people would have love him it would have been so great

I really liked the idea that he was frequently changing his team to find a balance. He even got rid of his Wooloo at one point. Hop has to have one of best character developments for a FRIENDLY rival. He’s definitely up there with Barry and Wally.

I actually really enjoyed the fact that he dropped Dubwool from his team. It's not something you see pointed out often in the games themselves, but there are species of Pokemon considered stronger or weaker than others. Bede defeating him made him question his philosophy in raising his team, and whether battling with Pokemon you love is more important than battling with "strong" Pokemon. When he brought Dubwool back, it really was a touching moment for me.

For me, Hop feels like the most realistic and relatable character in the franchise. He is the most realistic response to a protagonist destined to be champion. He tried so hard to be the best, but always fell short. He was rivals with someone who found battling as easy as breathing. A genius who seemed to train their pokemon easily without any of the hard work. Anyone who's done anything competitively knows what it's like to face someone like that. Someone who no matter how hard you try, has more raw talent and/or works harder than you. However, Hop still tried, so that he could fight his friend at the greatest stage with all eyes watching. Hop is one of us 99.9%. His pride was constantly crushed, and no matter how hard he trained, he faced an insurmountable opponent. This theme captures all the emotion and excitement where he could finally try to overcome his greatest opponent one more time on the biggest stage. In the end, he was just someone who was "good", but not the "best". Hop is a symbol of mediocrities like us, the nameless who lost in the struggle for the throne of king.

I don't like people comparing hop to hau anymore. At first I did the same thing but now that I think about it they're nothing alike. Hau wasn't even really a rival, he was a friend of yours that tagged along on your adventure simply because his grandfather was the kahuna and it was tradition to do the island challenges. Hau never wanted to be the best, and he never claimed to be the best unlike previous rivals. He was literally just your friend who from time to time was like "wanna battle?" Unlike hop on the other hand who's like "oh shoot I'm the champions brother I'm OP" when in reality he realizes there's a greater gap in strength between you and him. Unlike Hau hop actually tries to be the best and wants to be the best which is what drives him to wanting to beat you. Idk why I just found this really interesting.
