I just learned about Poka-Yoke and this is a perfect example on how to safeguard against inadvertent errors. Thank you

I don't know if this falls under Poke-Yoke or not, but something else that I'm surprised is not done in industry more often is the use of either acronyms or ordinal numbers to remember key things. For example, before landing a small airplane (aviation is full of acronym checklists) you do something called a "GUMPS" check... Gas, Undercarriage, Mixture, Prop, Seatbelts. You go through each letter of the acronym so that you don't miss something. This can be done mentally with both of your hands full. And for an "ordinal numbers" type of check, you just say to yourself "There are 5 things I need before I leave the house," "keys, wallet, phone..." etc.

nice video. To many videos on Poke Yoke are overly conceptual. I like the simple examples.

You can paint the holder white for the exact part where that thing fits and it may help mistake proofing. There is always space for improvements. I love lean thinking.

Biggest issue we had found. No matter How long you think about something or how many mistake issue you solve. Stupid people ALWAYS seem to find another one for you that you NEVER would have thought to do. :-)

Awesome! Is the foam taped on the board or did you put magnets on the back?

We used Velcro to stick it to the peg board

Mark Dvorak Thank you. I’m going to steal this idea for the pegboard in my garage
