Fun fact: the game was made easier and most of it's previous difficulty was added to the frost bells at the start! Also you can press the transparent bell to the right to call the next wave early in case you have like a barrage unit or some sort of aoe that would let you get even bigger combos off (for the extra money)

Release Wildfrost was so hard I couldn't beat it again after winning once with Yuki and dropped it. Since then it seems to have had a lot of great updates and while the game is still hard, I don't feel like I gotta claw my way up like before. New cards like the zoomlins are a godsend now too.

I thought the magnemite charm was more broken but it applies one of those at random which makes sense.

The really broken one is salazzle, which combines overburn and shroom into one status that uses both mechanics (counts down dealing damage each turn, explodes at equal to or greater than current HP)

For both Wildfrost and rouge legacy 2, i had only ever seen your videos on the games. I wishlisted them on everything i could, and now i have over 80 hours in rouge legacy 2 and i have played 22 hours of Wildfrost after getting it a few weeks ago. The only reason that i ever played either of them is that i watched your videos, and i am very happy to see you back in one of the games that you turned into my favorites.

I love how everyone got sucked into Wildfrost just by watching Dan’s first video on it; I got sucked into it after watching it years after that video went up (even though I’ve been subscribed from since before then), and it’s definitely come a long way from when Dan first played it, most intriguingly being the rework of Ice Dice.

The art and music alone are incredible, but I also thoroughly enjoy the pacing of the game both in battle and that the overall run doesnt take too long. All your crowned companions are free plays anyway, and having a fat deck makes it less likely to get the remaining ones first card draw so using a crown on the nest means less reliability to get everything else out quickly. It does make recalling cheaper but with a reasonably well balanced deck recalling is a rare need anyway

I'm usually someone who crowns basically all my companions anyway but it would have been a fun build, especially with the pokemon theming and treating it as swapping them out like in the games.

The fact that electrode basically plays exactly the same as it does in actual pokemon is hilarious. Super fast attacker/status spreader that either leaves or explodes when shit gets bad

this game has a mechanic tied to the frost bells (the things that make the game harder) where if you find two specific items that appear useless they combine into one item that's probably what the microwave and fridge did if I had to guess, I haven't played much of the mod tho
