Never played this game, and I have massive nostalgia for the DS era games, the Gen 3 spinoffs and Blue version. Heard pretty harsh opinions on SwSh too. I did NOT expect this theme to exist. 15 years of being a Pokemon fan and with a single listen this is my favorite regular trainer battle theme. My jaw dropped (for real, like an involuntary pog face), and I actually got teary eyed when I heard the Pokemon main theme motif and 1:24, that motif from the BW2 credits (I dunno if it originated there or came earlier, I haven't been able to find it elsewhere). This theme is Champion quality in my opinion, just wow. Hearing this alone makes me want to buy SwSh lol
