I have a similar team. Dusknoir is my frisker with Substitute for hordes, Thief for stealing, Earthquake and Rock Slide for killing hordes. Pickup Munchlax with Pay Day, Covet, Earthquake and Strength. Damp Golduck to stop explosive pokemon, with Soak and HMs. You exact same catching Breloom. Dragonite for HMs. I have to get a utility Smeargle like yours. The seventh member is my Contrary Spinda with Skill Swap that I only use for catching Alphas.

Dont want to buy occarinas just because of this 😅 Im using Dusknoir for frisk but I long hesitated with Stantler when started.. For teleport/flash/defog/fly : Xatu For a backup catcher when rocksmashing + dig : Parasect with HA For multi Hm buddy : Dragonite of course (TYSMMM for the HM trick) For flex with my shiny : Gyriados with rocksmash, surf and strengh For pickup : Meowth and Teddiursa Just finished my Smeargle, still hesitating about his moveset AND Thanks to your video I was able to set up my pickup Linoone ! Glad you enjoyed! Recently I changed my smeargle and added damp Parasect as well. Smeargle: Soak, Spore, False Swipe, Teleport Parasect: Spore, False Swipe, Dig, Sweet Scent

Hey tnums, I put Dig on my pickup/payday meowth in the place of Swift and it is very nice. That would clear up a move on your smeargle for false swipe. I find for these alpha swarms, I usually need multiple false swipers with spore.

9 times out of 10 you'll want poison heal. Technician can be useful if you're trying to catch a lot of high def mons that would normally take 2 false swipes.

how did you get teleport and sweet scent on smeargle?

It's been a long time but I believe you get teleport by entering a double battle with Smeargle + a pokemon with teleport on your team with no other pokemon so the teleport fails, the following turn you can sketch your partner pokemon. For Sweet Scent just go to Smeargle cave on Hoenns Battle Frontier and have one of them sketch it from your pokemon, switch to Smeargle and sketch the opposing Smeargle.

It probably doesn't, however, since this video was made I've actually swapped Stantler out for a Banette/Dusknoir. Both having access to Fling+Imprison sets that you need for certain items hunts.

Can you explain to me why you have both Swift and Hyper Voice on Linoone? Your clip shows fighting different hordes, so is there something about Ditto and accuracy I'm unaware of? Is it just a 3rd AoE clearing move to avoid having to go back to PC? Amazing video though, I will be adding some of these to my roster. Have my upvote

Yea just for extra clear, these days I've replaced it with Rock Climb as I do most of my exp training at Camerupt hordes and surf+rock climb gets you there.

Yeah definitely if trained in attack+speed EVs. With pokes like Meowth and Smeargle who have pretty low base stats to begin with you want to aim for 31s, breloom has pretty respectable base stats.

Is all the information correct? I read on internet that items stolen by theft or pickup end up in bag if you holding item.... + how you got hyper voice and switf?

Yup, it's pickup items that will still go to your bag if you have an item equipped. Thief requires an empty item slot for the move to work correctly. The only things I've really changed since this video is now using Banette for Frisk and I swapped Drain Punch for Substitute on Breloom. Kanto move tutor for Swift Unova move tutor for Hyper Voice

I was made aware of Banette being a great alternative to Stantler shortly after posting lol, I've just had that Stantler for a very long time as a horde killer too. I will likely make another more detailed in-battle abilities video at some point and include Banette as the best Frisk one.

There's a few methods for Sketch but here's the easiest: You can take a Psyduck/Golduck, which learns it by level up, to the Smeargle cave on Hoenn's Battle Frontier. Use soak on a wild Smeargle(your duck must be faster, quick claw/choice scarf could help), it will sketch the move, then just switch to your Smeargle and sketch the opposing one.

Thief is only used if you are leading the party with a frisk pokemon. Frisk can find more than one item in a horde so having backup thief pokemon can be useful. You also can't thief with an item equipped so if you forget to remove them it's a failsafe.

The only thing I'd recommend changing is a Banette for Frisk instead of Stantler. Better typing and move pool it just can't clear hordes like Stantler.

@@TnumsProd thank you! slowly starting to put together the team i like.. i switched out the linoone for Teddiursa with thief, earthquake, slash and rock slide (temporary till i find something more useful) to give me back another physical horde killer as dragonites surf is pretty good special sweeper
