Gotta remember that Caterpie helps find both butterfree and metapod, It is Very frail though and gotta be careful with that 50hp, but I got some good results with It and Wigglytuff ex. Also: since Caterpie doesn't need a grass energy to Work, I got some good results with It and Lapras ex for 60 Hp recovery every turn. Not The best since There are a Lot of Pikachus ex running around and lapras' Hp is 140 (which IS enough to die to mewtwo), but still, Very Fun (i run It in a deck with Omastar to punish mewtwo ex and Pikachu, but since Omastar is a 2nd stage wich I can't search The Basic pokémon... Yeah, consistency issues, despite Caterpie thinning The deck Though)

Gotta disagree with hypno, he was my goat, but he makes 20% of your deck (4 cards for 2 hypno lines) and even when you evolve him he only works 25% of the time since not only do you need to land heads but your opponent needs to land tails So around 80% of the time he is just a dead card with mediocre stats

Don’t really understand putting victorebell in D when big basic ex Pokémon are so popular and tanky enough to retreat to the bench thinking they’re safe.

It's in a stage 2, needs to be in the active, has 2 retreat cost, and a trash attack. The hability is only as good as much as the card its printed on its playable, and sadly, its printed on absolute garbage here, so...yeah, D sounds about right.

Too many requirements. >Stage 2 >Needs to be in active >Can only hit Basic Pokemon The more of these requirements you remove the stronger this ability becomes.

@@RarecuisineSaucegod-ig8bc still better than a D Pokémon, and most of the relevant threats in the meta are all basic ex mons worth 2 prize cards. Not saying victoreebell should be an S tier card or anything but should probably be in low B or C territory

@@LocalHobo631 i have never used victreebell so I can't speak on how good it is in practice. They gave it a bad attack and a bad retreat cost so maybe they did it for a reason. Hopefully someone can showcase how it performs

If we get an energy switch card in the next set i feel like magneton could be really good on a dragonite + a water mon deck (maybe starmie). U could run solo water energy, get an electric from magneton and then transfer it to dragonite

wont work that way... Magneton takes energy from your energy pool, if you run your deck with SOLO water energies, his ability will fail (I presume)

The balance is evident right from the jump. The only basic with an ability is Porygon and its useless. Stage 1s require RNG or are not too impactful. Stage 2s need to break the game in order to be good. Gardy and Greninja break the game. Victrebell and Poliwrath dont do enough.

It’s the only card in the game where the opponent gets the final say in what card gets brought out. It of course can be played around, but people love plopping down big basic ex mons so it definitely is useful for sniping those

the list was not bad until Gengar. he isn't a bench sitter like the other top abilities. and his attack is horrible. then you don't want to use the physchic energy acceleration due to that making your deck run 2 stage 2 lines. making it too inconsistent. with that said a big improvement over your last tier list video I saw.

I didn't say your last tier list video was a deck tier list. the upper part of my comment was about gengars viability. the second part was saying I think your understanding of the game is evolving and improving. based on the last video tier list of yours I saw. I didn't comment anything negative on that video, as it wouldn't be helpful. but I think giving you props for improving is productive.

Gengar's most use is making it so they cant sabrina you for game. Which is true to the anime, so thats neat. 170 hp is neat too so mewtwo cant one shot. Can't use Giovanni anyways but yeah. Despite him being a stage 2 with a horrible attack I can see gengar remaining a rogue pick for a long time until he gets power crept into unusability.

It's a mistake to judge an ability based on the stage of the Pokémon it uses it. It should be evaluated separately to not put a bias in the tierlist as you just did. Interesting try through

Acceleration means increasing the velocity over time. So 1mph to 5mph or 60-100 is still acceleration, It doesn't mean fast like you think it is
