Man they really need to make a new battle revolution game. Ik they said we'll likely not get another mainline game with all pokemon, but a spinoff like this is the perfect excuse to. There really isn't a story to focus on, as it's just a simple tournament game, so more focus can be put into making sure all the current pokemon fit in the game. Likewise they don't need to create a whole region, just a bunch of Coliseums to fight in. I just think as a side game it would sell so well, a game that finally let's you use every pokemon available atm (aside from showdown). They could even make it their annual holiday season game while they work on a full time main series game. This game was so damn charming to me as a kid, and I'd love to see it rise again, with my updated teams that arent just "Must use legendaries"

I think it has been stated that since the jump to 3D in the main-line games, it wouldn't make much sense to make another Battle Revolution game. The novelty of those games were because they were on consoles that can do 3D graphics better than the handhelds and were capable of internet play. If they were to make another game like this, the only remaining novelty is the more exaggerated animations used in the battles, something that would be better off being inspiration for future games. As of Arceus, it seems that Game Freak is at least attempting to make animations with more quality (dizzy animations, unique attack animations, etc.), but it still leaves a lot to be desired. Though I also want a new Revo game, it is also nostalgia bait. The main-line games have the potential to do that already but it remains to be tapped.

@@GreenGuyGeno Yeah, I'm not sure a new battle simulator game would be green lit these days. It would be cool to have a new one though just cuz I'm tired of seeing the same 3D models. I'd say the models for the pokemon introduced in gen 6 onwards are pretty good, but the pokemon from gens 1-5 all look pretty bland and don't have much personality.

I've noticed similarities between the Colosseum Leaders in each of their battle formats: Taylor and Voldon: A standard format, where you win the battle to proceed Marina and Terrell: Your ability to proceed is influenced by the number of Pokémon Rosie and Dusty: Your winning ability is influenced by luck, potentially with using Pokémon other than your own

Nothing but power! I like that you have both HydroPump+Canonn on Blastoise. I used to love HydroCannon back in FireRed but I never really used it after gen 3. These movesets and mons are more than serviceable for Battle Revolution! You should try using them in the Battle Frontier in HeartGold!

This almost looks like it was made by the same developers of colosseum and gale of darkness Both of those games reused the same animations of the Pokemon from the stadium games Not to mention the models of the human characters look like they were designed the way as the ones from colosseum and Gale of darkness

You're right! Battle Revolution was in fact developed by the same people who made XD Gale of Darkness & Colosseum. Those 3 games were developed by Genius Sonority, but Stadium 1 & 2 were made by Nintendo and HAL Laboratory.

I have a few questions. I beat five...colosseum leaders, is it? What do I do now in this process, especially so I can progress in the game and have more Pokemon to choose from? Like Geodude and Regirock for example. I only have the three starter Pokemon in their middle evolutionary forms, Shinx, Staraptor, and Garchomp. Also, while I'm here, I might as well ask this other question. Someone I know gave me their Wii U, and of course, I wanna get some games for it. I'm thinking one of those games where you go on a journey and fight with a long weapon to swing, like a sword or staff. It would be pretty cool to use my Wii remote or Nunchuk as my "dueling" weapon. Any games of the Wii U you guys can think of? I'm already used to Legend of Zelda, so I wouldn't mind picking a different series, where I don't know the character. Start new, you know? Also, not to sound too picky, but I'm hoping my weapon knocks my enemies down, not necessarily stabs and slices them. A "flown-backwards" defeat is such a cool effect to see onscreen, like Harry Potter's Stunning Spell or Shrek's sword attacks in _Shrek 2 PC._

I see, it seems you are using the rental pass. In order to have access to the rest of the Pokemon, you have to copy them from your own Gen 4 game. After the credits roll for the first time, some of the colosseums have different rules so you can take them on again! Unfortunately, I can't help you with the Wii U games, I don't know much games for the system.

I'm at Stargazer Colluseum. I have two passes: 1. the middle evolution of the three Sinnoh starter Pokemon, Staravia, Shinx, and Gabite, and 2. three middle evolution of Kanto's starters, Pidgeott, Rhydon, and Dragonair. I haven't beaten semifinal guy yet, so imagine battling Mysterio. The process of the ultimate colosseum is tough, especially to get extra continues. Which group of Pokemon do you think I should use, to accommodate me more?

Ah yes the 2 rental passes. To be honest I've always found that the Sinnoh starter rental pass to be better. Thankfully, Mysterial doesn't have anything too strong. I used my own Pokémon, but if I were to use the rental pass, I'd bring Grotle for Leech Seed.

My bad, KZbin never notifies me when I get a reply. So those 2 Pokemon aren't available in Battle Revolution until you get a DS Pokemon game, but if you want to play with them, the games that have both of those evolution lines are Diamond, Platinum, Ultra Sun, & Brilliant Diamond.
