I hope this is mentioned- but the only reason Weavile survived Water Spout was because Kyogre's HP is lower. Water Spout's base damage is determined on how much HP the user of the move has left.

This battle proves that Ludicolo rocks in a battle against all legendary pokemon. Good thing that Lugia wasn't used and that Protect activated 2-3 times for Ludicolo in a row. Leech Seed, Rain Dish and Leftovers for Ludicolo work well in his "rain" team".

It's only hard because his pokemon don't align with the actual mechanics and damage calculations of the game. not to mention the crit and hax ratio is turned up significantly I had a 6IV Timid Latias with 252 spA & Choice Spec Used Dragon Pulse and it his latios lived with 25% Health.... I was expecting an OKHO but fuck it, Ill take the 25%. It hit me with the same move and OHKO'd my latias as if it had specs. Crazy right? Considering Latias is bulkier than latios..... So I assumed it was just Calm Nature with Choice Specs and I could outspeed it.... Nope. Not the case. I brought out my Timid Expert Belt Latios to finish the job but it outsped it and OHKO'd with icebeam... Literally just outspeed, overpowered and tanked my most powerful dragon type move on my team as if it was maxed out in every stat, breaking all logic of the game. I even checked the damage calculator for this gen on pokemon showdown, and a timid 252 spA latios with expert belt cannot OHKO another latios with icebeam. Literally cannot be done. There is no explanation for this shit. This fucker doesn't play according to the proper mechanics of the game, so of course I'm going to use the best Ubers I have, and give them broken movesets to beat him. And I do not, for any reason, feel like I am less of a pokemon player. I play competitively among top ranks, and losing to this dude doesnt even make me mad because I know it's not mechanically possible for him to pull off the shit he does.

My approach was to Fake Out Kyogre with Ludicolo, and give him a heavy hit with Gengar's Thunderbolt, to lessen the damage from Water Spout. From then on, it was pretty smooth sailing.

this is a little late to be posting this but Weavile survived water spout because it does more damge the more hp the user has, because Kyogre has alot of hp it does alot of damage and the rain makes it even more powerful. Eruption has the same effect so for Groudon it is also powerful plus the sunny weather :)

It's not legends versus ordinary Pokemon. For example, according to the smogon tiers, Wobbuffet is higher ranked than Entei. Legendaries have above average stats most of the time, but they really aren't godly as most assume.

Pearl for me: Groudon and Cherrim, Groudon and Ho-oh, Groudon and Mewtwo, Groudon and Latios. The Groudon and Ho-oh hurt alot because of Earthquake and Sacred Fire combo.

Water sprouts base power depends on the HP of the pokemon, low HP, Low Base Power. The only flaw i found in the battle was when you tried going for the third protect on weavile. If you attacked with weavile, it would probaly ko kyogre at that point, allowing you to toxic manaphy.

A better play that turn would've been to attack manaphy with weavile and actually leech seed manaphy instead of toxic cause manaphy's hydration ability would've removed the poison because of the rain being in effect.

You might want to put more coverage on your Infernape, eg: replace Blast Burn with Thunderpunch if he's a physical attacker and replace either Close Combat or Drain Punch with another coverage move. Witha dual typing you don't need more than 2 STAB attacks. Replace Zap Canon with Thunderbolt on Deoxys if you can.

It is, but it does not count as a "major status condition" (anything that can be healed with a Lum Berry i.e. Sleep, Poison, Badly Poison, Burn, Confusion, and Paralysis). Hydration might not cure it.

TheProdigalLegion723 If you used Diamond, Platinum, or SoulSilver to transfer pokemon, he'll always start with Kyogre, and end with Palkia. If you used Pearl or HeartGold, he'll start with Groudon, and end with Dialga. Hope this helps!

That was great. The reason Water Spout didn't KO Weavile, was because Kyogre was at low HP.

@CrimDawg0102 I only had Infernape and Garchomp left to fry his Groudon and Dialga (Dialga is way faster and stronger than Set 4). Took out my Gyarados and Metagross with only his Mewtwo before my Garchomp used Dragon Rush in a one-hit critical and Infernape blasted his Kyogre with a one-hit kill Thunder Punch. Yes Gyarados knew Waterfall, Earthquake, Ice Fang, and Dragon Dance. Lost that one, then a month later I sent him out with Arceus's Judgement attack and Lucario's Reversal.

legends arent bad. they usually have mediocre defenses and base 90 speed. dont worry about them. except for lugia, who specializes in defenses, but has low attacking stats.

I'm not sure how anyone can beat this without having to rely on Explosion or getting really lucky The way I see it a team with Soul Dew Latias, Arceus Grass/Ghost , Darkrai, Dialga, Groudon, and Blissey can easily knock out most of this team to the curve.

Water Spout is based off of how much HP the user has. since Kyogre was low on HP, Water Spout didn't do pretty much anything to Ludicodo, and was only a semi-powerful hit on weavile.

I was actually quite surprised how easy it was to beat him when I tried a rain dance team. I won with 3 pokemon left, I was especially surprised when my kingdra´s draco meteor 1HKO´ed his mewtwo.

my 1st fight against him: I send in my Kyogre & Palkia he sends out his Kyogre & Manaphy. His Kyogre used Thunder on my Kyogre (I barely live) then my Kyogre uses thunder on his (OHKO). I my Palkia hurts Manaphy to almost no HP. I lose in like 2 turns after this. I owned his Kyogre right off the bat XD Couldn't beat anything anything else really tho. Except his Palkia which I owned with my Electrivire.

Honestly, Pokemon requires a lot of strategy, especially if you have the disadvantage. It all depends on if you make the right move at the right time. Plus, many non-legendaries can easily take out a legend. Like darkrai. It's main strategy is putting you to sleep. If you have a Pokemon who either is faster and has safeguard or a Pokemon with magic bounce, darkrai can be taken down easily.
