I was 13 when these games came out. I’m nearly 26 now and eagerly awaiting the remakes for BW. Listening to this song is like coming back home after being away for a long time. Gen 5 was, and will always be, my favorite

It's my favorite gen as well. I have really fond memories of playing them with friends at school. It's funny how those simple times from over a decade ago are so clear in my head that you'd think they happened yesterday.

people saying this is a sad song but it feels more bittersweet to me, this song reminds me of the seaside town i grew up in- it's exceptionably lively as spring break and summer roll around, but quiet and meek for the rest of the year. I've always loved to visit the beach during the dead times, since it feels like it's just me and the waves.

I miss being 10 years old playing these games life was so much easier back then, it was Joyfull and exciting and pure at the same time,its been 12 years and they felt like only a couple months crazy how time is going by so fast i was a Little kid wanting to grow up...If i only knew how priceless these moments were when i was young and was full of love! Sometimes I wished I could take out my Azumarill and watch the ocean wash the beach to this song. Oh to be in my trainer's footsteps for once in life, it'd be wonderful... Scolipede, Azumarill, Chandelure, Magnezone, Krookodile, Volcorona... my best friends when I was younger and still didn't have many.

I won't lie, Gen 5 was by far the most ambitious generation of Pokemon so far, I just love everything about this game, plot, graphics (by DS standards they are amazing), soundtrack, features, everything, this game is perfect.

What's great about the 2D games is that they became more expansive with each generation. The dex only got larger, regions grew in size, end game content was always included, and features such as contests were always reimagined with each title. The attentions to detail in environments and sprites only got better with each game as well. And then gen 7 happened...(I'll skip 6 because though it was the first 3D, those games actually have some quality)

Bro gen 5 music hits HARD. I used to play a crap ton of pokemon games on roblox that used this music (tbh this music is so sad) and when those games got deleted this music stuck in my head and sometimes I cry just thinking of it, knowing I'll never be able to return to that pure nostalgia.

I’m so happy my childhood feels complete

Last year this theme helped me believe that everything will be ok when my friends left me out plus my family. Now a year later. When I found the person I liked the most, they left me to another country, and this theme reminds me of them cause when everything was bad, her came into my life and helped me through it. I miss her, but im sure she has a good life there now.

I just played today after maybe 9 years. My last save as a kid was in undella town, I had forgotten about this theme. My eyes were tearing up after hearing the first notes, all the memories came back in one instant. Too much nostalgia. Thank you Pokemon for all the magic you've put in my childhood. Love you guys

It’s always shocks me when I say this is now 14 years old man, i remember just listening to this on my DS as I didn’t know what life was when I was 10-13 years old. Now that I’m an adult, I can fully comprehend to what it means by listening to the waves, it’s pleasing, washing away your thoughts for it to come back and then washes away again. How this theme evolved to such a peaceful soundtrack, to one I often remember while I sleep.

I first played this game in the fall of 2017 right around when the solar eclipse happened. Got all the way to the 8th gym and encountered a shiny druddigon. Failed to capture it. Promptly quit the game for 7 whole years until I decided to go back and replay it from the start a month back. Beat it recently and FINALLY got to Undella Town. “I grinded for this view and it was worth it”
