A few things. 1. I like that we get a full reason for why Blue refused to take Brock's TM Disc. 2. Seeing Pidgey evolve mid attack is awesome. 3. The fact that Blue did catch more Pokemon that what we saw shows that he is not that single minded. And 4. The fact that he got his boombox from the Magikarp salesman was funny as hell and so Blue.

And it was like falling in love all over again. I even decided to give anime a try. (In my schools, anime fans were bullied even harder than animation fans), and I fell in love with that, too. I discovered your KZbin channel and instantly related to Red's story. I use the image of Lt. Surge hugging Red as my homescreen photo often. It's a constant reminder that I have the power to fight for myself. To face my past and my trauma and not let my mistakes define me. Rediscovering my love for animation, finding new shows, and catching up on the years I missed, It's allowed me to enjoy life again. I also really wanted to say that I'm proud of you. Of all the high-quality animations you've put out and the stories and emotions they have. I think you're incredible and talented. And I appreciate that despite all you're going through, you still have the courage to put yourself out there. Because it takes hard work, effort, and strength to continue to do that because there are so many people who'll take you for granted or want to tear you down. I love seeing things from Blue's perspective! The cockiness and confidence he exhibits is pretty great and his "you can't teach me anything" attitude with Brock is a great showcase of the smaller glimpses we saw in Red. I wonder if you'll show him catching and evolving a bunch of pokemon to get to the 40 he needs when Red finds him in the SS Anne? That being said, I'd understand if you don't spend as much time on it because, as you've mentioned, you're having trouble with the youtube algorithm. I'd watch it and eat it up, but I totally get that you gotta do what you gotta do. Thanks for pushing through and getting this to us! Blue catching Spearow is a reference to Yellow where he does have one & later evolve it into Fearow. FunFact: I always have this imagination that he trades that Fearow for Skarmory because it's a Steel/Flying type having more resistances than Fearow. Also Steel was a new type when the Johto games were out.

Man right from the word go, Blue truly was incredibly arrogant. Believing that he had nothing to learn even from this early stage sets the stage for his downfall much later on. Love the detail of Squirtle withdrawing into its shell to sleep, and Pidgey's evoltion into Pidgeotto mid attack, truly divine. And that damned boombox! Makes so much sense as to how he got it.

People are forgetting that Blue is only 1 step behind Red in terms of skill as a Pokémon Trainer. Sure, he has a lot to learn spiritually to become the best, but in terms of raw skill he is #2 of all time. Both Red and Blue (because of Oak) dedicate themselves to catching and understanding all Pokémon. That’s what makes them the best Trainers. Even if Gold is a better battler, or if May/Dawn can grapple better with calamities. They will never have the connection with Pokémon that Red and Blue had.

In Masters, Red one shot Gold in battle and was canonically stated as "the strongest trainer in history". And Red (unlike Gold) was officially titled as Legendary Trainer, the Living Legend, Battle Legend, Battle Genius and Battle Master by The Pokemon Company. Pretty sure it seals the deal that Red is the strongest trainer. While Gold doesnt have even 1 official title or something. And in main anime, Ash (Red anime counterpart) easily defeats Jimmy (Gold anime counterpart) in the battle in Zoroark movie opening. That said something too.
