The thing about SmallAnt, is his overwhelming resistance to boredom. I bet he could sit in a room for 20 hours, talking to his chat, not even faltering in terms of energy. Like take the first shiny(Totodile) for example. He talked to us about ghost stories at about 39 resets, and his voice was completely fine. You would expect for his voice to quiet down after 4 hours of doing nothing but resetting. BUT NO! Mans is talking like he started the run 2 minutes ago, and his energy level didn't change throughout. That is quite impressive, and not many people(such as myself) are able to do that.

I'm also ShinyHunting live on Twitch and I think the main reason someone can stay in one spot for this amount of time is the chat itself! For example I only have two or three person who write in the chat at the same time and most of the time I'm completly alone! It's way more difficult if there is no one whoo you can talk with and you have to come up with every topic yourself to don't have any quiet phase in your stream!

SoulSilver & HeartGold are also THE fastest shiny starter reset hunts so that definitely helps! I was doing a B2 reset hunt (on hiatus rn lol) and decided to try SoulSilver hunt and within a couple hours I got a shiny totadile (forgive me for butchering that) But also being able to see 3 potential shiny options in one screen is such a blessing

I get so bored shiny hunting and i have never done a full odd hunt, i do horde encounters in gen 6 and then in swsh i have been doing some masuda method for a scorbunny (i tried masuda in gen 6 as well and maybe one day I will come back to it but I might just restart that hunt in swsh). That's a shiny for every 2411 resets on average. Odds are one in 8152.

I increased it to 20000 encounters since he was doing 3 encounters per reset for the starter. Probabilistically this is not outside the realm of possibilities although it is rare. The last three shiny encounters occured in only 771 only resets. The probability of this happening is approximately 0.0135% (roughly one in 7407). He's either very lucky or he gave up after the electrode.
