@unitedgamer A suggestion for next time: Since you pulled 6 packs, why not use the energy type pulled as the Tera type. Either the pack they came from all pokemon must be that type, or use freely on whom you bring.

While it would be less work to assign Tera typing that way, they'd be fairly locked into what they could use in any one pack (say that a pack is all basics and trainers...they'd be shafted); as they were able to pick freely from what they pulled (without evolving, that is), it'd be a better all-around play to "draft" the Tera type from the options available.

Idea on how to incorporate the anime: use a random number generator to generate the number of an episode, then your pokémon is the one featured in the "Who's that Pokémon?" segment from that episode.

You can hate a move while also seeing it as your only way to deal with something your opponent could be bringing...nothing else on his team was really going to want to face Azumarill (as Tobin stated in the vid). Grafaiai could have maybe landed a Gunk Shot, but that was the only other thing that could handle facing it.

Video Idea: You can pick your own random pokemon but the opponent gets to choose your ability. They must choose the ability before knowing the pokemon you chose. They must choose 2 good, 2 neutral and 2 bad abilities.

A great battle, and it's lovely to see the shake-up of non-randomized Abilities. I'd love to see more like this. My only complaint is that the Pokémon descriptions coming up as soon as you draw the cards removes the suspense. I mean, Tobin had his team complete halfway through the packs, so it gave away he wasn't going to draw another Treasure of Ruin. Just a minor gripe, and I admit I don't have a better idea other than spending a minute or two outlining each team-cuts of each player deciding on a mon and a bit of the reasoning for it mashed together in a medley-and I realize that'd be a chore to edit. In any case, once again, great video and great battle.

Maybe a pokemon challenge that can be done is let chat gpt pick a random season out for the pokemon anime and randomize to pick a time frame from 00.00-30.00 and the very first pokemon that appears from that scene will be selected for your team. *If there is multiple pokemon in one scene, they get to pick one of them , no duplicates so there wont be like 4 pikachus per team and also 3 veetos to reroll for another one

8:08 this one kinda hurt because I'd LOVE to have energy cards/items/some low tier pokemon cards😔 My little brother and I just started playing the card game together, so we just play with regular pokemon against each other, but we don't have enough energy or items to play the game properly :') I can't afford new packs, only second-hand ones I got from a store near my house. You could look into game stores nearby to donate them to, because a lot of kids would probably love to play with them!

This could be because I am a TCG player more than anything; but if you do this again I think it would be more interesting if you opened up all the packs, (same way you did in this video), but instead of showing the chosen mon right as the card showed up, you held out until after the packs were open and each player had a little aside where they talked about the main considerations/options and what they landed on.
