Gen 7 came out right at the tail end of my Pokémon fever days, before I kind of aged away from the series, and when little me found out that it would take place in my home state, I went crazy. When the game came out little me was G L U E D to his 3ds. After gen 7 I kind of fell out of Pokémon and branched out to other games, but now that I’m older and have taken a brake from the series, Scarlet and Violet have yanked me back into the series. I’m getting the game later today, and I can’t wait to relive my childhood amazement when I play these games!

I was gonna pick Meowscarada and personally it IS still one of my favourite starters up to date. But I saw Fuecoco’s face and just went. This one is mine instapicked it no regrets. Skeledirge was no joke and I’m glad I experienced the game with it.

0:38 I thought this was a joke until I realized it wasn't. IDK about you but as a Pokemon guy myself I feel like Game Freak shows off SO MUCH before the games come out still. Every other week there was a new Trailer for Scarlet and Violet and I wish there wasn't. I understand it in the marketing reason but it just sucked to see that. The only thing that was a real surprise (well until I saw leaks for it lol) was the paradox Pokemon. That was the freshest Pokemon designs have felt in a LONG TIME. I hate the names for them but god damn everything else about them is so cool.

There's drama before the game releases, and drama long after; but those initial release hours? Wonderful moments to just chill with another and experience the game. And if you cant play; hop into a stream and join the chat and streamer for their adventure. Those are the good times.

The whiplash of hearing Skype mentioned to still be used while Sun and Moon was out. I figured by then people would of started to use Discord. Now I feel old. lol I think Gen 7 is VERY underrated. It was VERY tutorial heavy BUT the story was the best and down to earth I've ever seen out of Pokemon in a hot mintue. Yeah there was still a "save the world" plot near the end but the character went through some REAL struggles and how it was all written, good stuff. I forgot that Legends HAD leaks. I kind of went into it very blind and I didn't even think that there was gonna be new evos for the starters. I looked at the Scarlet and Violet leaks cause I am bad but I was REAL excited for Meowscarada. MAGICIAN CAT!??!?! Let's GO.

I love all 3 starters Quaxly turns into a badass water fighting peacock who is probably the gayest thing I have ever seen but I kind of love him for it because he's a peacock and he should be flamboyant as hell at the very least Fuecoco is the first fire starter to go quadripedal and I love fire and Ghost types so that's a win but I would say he's probably the best looking out of the three even though it's not the starter I'm picking. Spigattito turns into a grass and dark type which is actually one of my favorite typings because of how much I love shiftry. But most importantly it gets fucking protein is a hidden ability! Even with the Nerf that that ability got it's still a really good ability to have. I can't wait to run all three of these guys at some point
