Fun fact: solgaleo does accurately represent the sun because for some reason, for the Hawaiian region they decided to go with GREEK MYTHOLOGY AND ALCHEMY, each of the starters have the symbols for earth, mercury and brimstone and they believe the sun was a ball of molten iron and the symbol for it was a lion holding the sun in its mouth...though with that logic it should have been fire steel but I guess that might have been too busted of a combo

I bet that the person making fun of Solgaleo never learned its origins, nor what a star can be made of. For those who still wouldn't know (not that I would blame you of course), a star, at some point during its life cycle, has a part made of metals, hence the Steel type. A second reason for the steel type is that Solgaleo doesn't represent the Sun itself directly but the lion that eats the Sun from alchemy, which represents (if I'm not mistaken) the purity of metals or something like that.

Fun fact: Mudsdale is about the same size as a real world Clydesdale horse. So they just copy and pasted the real animal and didn’t realize how small they had made other pokemon comparatively to real animals. Another example a lion in the pokemon world, Pyroar, is 180 lbs while a real life African lion weighs well over 500lbs

Ok I actually have an idea as to why ghosts can be hit by Steel type attacks: according to some legends and culture, steel is often used to cast magic and some metals such as Mythril and Orichalcum are rumored to have magic properties. Silver is said to be a repellent for dark magic or kill momsters (like the Werewolf)
