She was also very smart. Spiritomb was OP back then (not now with fairies). She would often withdraw her Pokemon to bait attacks. I remember trying to hit her Milotic with electric moves and she woukd switch out to Garchomp to resist it. Not to mention her Garchomp was hard to take down. Definitely the coolest champion and also the hardest. We need a gen 4 remake!

If there ever is a DPPt remake, the only feature I want back more than anything in the game is Walking Pokémon. Ever since HeartGold and SoulSilver, I have not enjoyed another game. I keep missing having my beloved Pokémon by my side in the overworld. I miss seeing my Munchlax following me around. I own a copy of White, Black 2, X and Alpha Sapphire, but I never finished playing any of them. Whenever I tried, I lost interest and couldn't get past the first gym. Without the Walking Pokémon feature, the games aren't fun anymore. The closest I ever got to bonding with the monster was Pokémon Amie. :(

***** Pretty much. I honestly didn't put much thought in to the fact that the pokemon league might bring some surprises so I didn't go all out on grinding. It was my first attempt at the pokemon league in diamond. I was in for a real shock. My Infernape wasn't to keen on Garchomp but it turned out well enough. I owe it to lucario the most though to be honest.

well defeating her in pearl was tough but in black 2 , she was super tough she was more stronger, had to come up with a strategy think outside the box lol, my pokemon were 60 - 65 level, and hers were over 75, she always sends out spiritomb first which doesn't do good against physical attacks so it was my braviary against it, two aerial ace and one brave bird took care of it then came milotic, i had taught my sceptile frenzy plant but milotic still held and used blizzard, not leaving me much choice, even though i beat her milotic then comes garchomp who almost koed my samurott but i got lucky coz blizzard hit, then comes togekiss most tough one its a normal/flying had no thunder pokemon, but had krookodile but it wasnt fast enough so togekiss took it out with focus blast and i lost :\

To this day she is my favorite champion. The music, the pokemon; everything makes it feel like this was the battle that counted. Me being what, 8? I tried everything to get Spiritomb to get hit with a super-effective move. Nothing worked, but I eventually got past him. She'd then send out her Gastrodon, which was fairly easy to knock out with a Roserade. Then came Milotic, and I thought, "Are you an idiot?", but I was the idiot for not thinking that it had ice beam. I'd get through Milotic, maybe a full-restore gone. She'd then send out her own Roserade, which would give me hell. It bounced to Lucario then, as I sent out mine. One Aura Sphere was enough to take down her Lucario but mine had been paralyzed from a previous battle, so I then moved onto her Garchomp. My Lucario was drained, full health, but had no PP left on most of its moves. So I do a Close-Combat, and it knocks Garchomp down to minimal health. Somehow, I can't remember how, but Lucario was confused. I only had Rock Climb left with PP, so I had to use that. "Lucario is confused," the screen read, and I bit my lip, crossing my fingers. Then it moved to whether or not my Lucario would be able to move that turn; it did. "Lucario used Rock Climb". ... "The foe's Garchomp fainted!" I cried tears of joy. That's when Lucario became my favorite Pokemon.

why she's awesome: she's the first female champion in the whole Pokemon series. she helped you a lot in this game. it's pretty shocking to find her as a champion. she is a BOMB. her team is completely balanced, and also her team can probably beat any type. her team is also very powerful. Garchomp. Milotic. Spiritomb. Those beasts. her Spiritomb doesn't have any weaknesses. Not until Gen VI, where it gets weakened by fairy types, but holy shit. her first Pokemon. her Garchomp is fucked up. probably one of the most powerful pokemon in the world. she's just plain awesome. when she challenges you, you know she is not fucking around. she's serious.

Empoleon lvl 58. (avalanche and a focus sash for garchomp) Kadabra lvl 60 (traded from the girl in oreburgh city with machop) Shiny Staraptor lvl 54 (met mid-game and I found out it had relatively superior IV with max IV for speed) Gardevoir lvl 58 *learned thunderbolt tm for Water pmkn* Buneary lvl 13 *pretty much described by me as my HM pokemon, who had cut, rock smash and strength when i finally had the incentive to evolve it* it was pretty much a 4v6, Empoleon handled garchomp with avalanche (*60x2* pwr with 4x multiplier against that lvl 62) and Staraptor handled roserade and Lucario with its quick claw which proc'd twice for each pokemon at that start of the battle. Kadabra spammed psychic on spiritomb but died shortly after since i forgot about the embargo status it had. Gardevoir mopped up Milotic and gastrodon with thunderbolt and magical leaf. so overall, 1 casualty and I became sinnoh champion because i had the incentive to get almost every type move there was to prepare for whatever cynthia had. I guessed she would have a garchomp from the anime but i thought it was a long shot, but it payed off in the end.

Is it bad to say that although Cynthia has always been my toughest champion battle, Iris and Wallace are right after her in terms of the Champion battles? I find all three to be difficult, I've always struggled with them for some reason.

I remember playing this in my childhood. I went almost anywhere with my ds playing diamond, and it was awesome. When this game went out is when I would always visit my family in the Philippines. Now I don't do that anymore. This game does bring back memories.

Cynthia remains the most memorable trainer/champion to face. This is the first Pokemon game I play and my team wasn't varied. I was at her last Pokemon and Starly was the last survivor but luckly, her Pokemon died by confusion (by Luxray's Swagger) and win the league! Thank gen 4th for introduce me to the wonderful world of Pokemon.

Haha this brings back so many memories! She was so hard for me. I remember having like 10HP on my infernape, and had it use flare blitz against roseraid, and I though I had lost because of recoil, but I had a raichu with 1hp left and I won! Damn this was the best game ever
