My theory is that Cyrus acts like he has no emotions when deep down he does He just wants to get rid of them Personally I hope he does something extreme in the remakes, like make himself a Cyborg or Android to rid himself of emotions and only appeal to logic and reasoning

In his speech to his followers he shows himself to be a master manipulator. Pretending to care about his people but really considering them to be mindless idiots unable to think for themselves. I always figured he manipulated his golbat into thinking he cared about it as well.

My team was: .Torterra .Lucario .Gastrodon (Tritosor) .Skuntank (Moufflair) .Honchkrow (Corboss) .Garchomp (Carchacrok) The first battle wasn't as hard as I thought, but as for the Spear Pillar... That was the worst mistake I've ever made. When I realized that Cyrus' team had more level than my party, I messed up horribly (my party was level 40). His Gyarados (Léviator) was certainly a pain in the ass. I didn't have any electric type Pokemon in my party, therefore I reckon that Cyrus wiped me out altogether. Anyway, this taught me that althought I was rather confident in both myself and my party, I needed to stop underestimating my opponents. Anyway, it was pretty dope.
