Pokemon Emerald - Capturing Groudon

Terra Cave, route 118. Groudon, that has the ability of summon droughts, is a Super ancient Pokemon with unbelievable power. After a titanic battle with Kyogre, it has been asleep. Enjoy it!

the guy you're looking for should be right outside the sootopolis cave, or not far inside of it. i can't remember if the cave is open or not when groudon and kyogre are fighting. i did this a long time ago. steven should be in sootopolis city. talk to him, it might help. if u find the guy, he should ask u where rayquaza is. pick the sky pillar and he should tell you to go there. if this doesn't help, try doing a video search for rayquaza and see what you get.

i think the terra cave is in route 115 which is just above rustboro city. ask the weather guy in the weather institute at route 119, he should tell you the area in which groudon is causing droughts.

i don't think you can open the sootopolis city cave in emerald like you can in the ruby or sapphire games because groudon and kyogre are found in the terra and marine cave. ask the guy in the weather institute, he'll tell you where there are droughts and down pours cause by groudon and kyogre. the sky pillar is in route 131, near pacifidlog town. just surf out a little bit and go up. you should find a gap between some rocks, go up the path till u see a cave and there u go!

Do u really know how Sketch works? U can do a double battle and sketch the move that ur partner choose. I used Shroomish/Smeargle, I traded my Arcanine from Fire Red and sketched Extremespeed and I used a Nincada to learn False Swipe. So think BEFORE u comment because I DO NOT CHEAT! got it now?

In 386 all pokemon are available without trading(including all event pokemon). In normal emerald, you have to go to events and trade to get all 386 pokemon.

nope,the reason fissure didnt affect smeargle,is that it is of higher level than groundon,so he is immune

by the way, if you get any legendary to 1hp and asleep and throw ultra balls, the probability of catching it each time is 10%.

extremespeed is a fast and powerfull move that hits first. like quick attack, only much better. i'm not sure if smeargles have low defenses or not, but if they do, being able to get the first hit is very important. i hope that helps.

the groudon i just and i mean JUST caught was on route 116 from rusturf tunnel where the guy that lost his glasses is i used his own moves against him, he was down in the red zone in health, he used rest and i wor him down to the same place and i caught him easily as he was sleeping with an ultra ball and thats two rare pokemon i have now rayquaza and groudon

where do you get smeargle? i heard you get it in this cave with lots of rare pokemon after you beat the elite four

For me it seems, putting the Pokemon to sleep makes it harder to catch! I prefer to either Burn or Paralyze them, as they do make it much easier.

i also used a pokeball when it was in full health with no stat7us conditions.idk why i caught it.i just wanted to try it then try again but......for some reason...i caught it,...same for kyogre too

actually they get better every ten turns, and they only get better than ultra balls after 30 turns.

I caught Groudon w/1 ultra ball and 3 timer balls. The winning ball was Timer Ball #3 O_o I used Endeavor w/ l38 Swellow w/ 52hp, then threw the ball and OMG I caught it!
