POKEMON EMERALD KAIZO ELITE FOUR MONOTYPE CHALLENGE: WATER TYPES ONLY 🌊

Introducing a new series within a series! You guys absolutely LOVED the Emerald Kaizo Mono-Normal run so much that I'm going to also try to beat the game with other types! As I discuss in the intro, this game takes an incredibly long time to play through due to every major trainer having 6 mons, increased challenges, etc. So I will be sticking to the same save file and just taking on the Elite Four, which is the true challenge anyways since you can't overlevel for it.

This is great. I had an idea of just “how shit a team can beat kaizo” , but doing this and skipping to the elite four... and being able to come back with new typing for new episodes, and by skipping to the elite four the edit isnt hell.. awesome idea son. Thank you! I realize that, which is why I addressed it in the beginning of the vid / in description. The story mode can pretty much 100% be done due to overleveling, and if I did it it would take months between uploads. These videos are just bonuses to the Mono-Normal one. you should do mono ice! i feel like it would do well against drake and Steven but most are pretty frail/bulky with no special attack, so it would still be a big challenge!

Love the idea to only do the Elite Four, cause you can obtain pretty much every Pokemon and level them up to 100 before takin to on the league. I also really enjoyed that you shared your thought process in building the team. Would love to see that for the other videos too!

Sorry I did t mention this: I would love to see this challenge done with a fire team. There are a lot of water Pokemon in the Elite Four and fire type is usually offensively one sided and doesn’t alway get great coverage.

I tried doing a full run water type challenge, I started a couple of years ago and the hardest fight by far of all of them was.... Maxine. You wouldnt expect it but the fire type team magma leader was an absolute skyrocket in difficulty, with auto sunny day, hp grass and solar beam decimating your offensive capabilities while also giving him a counter to every pokemon you could bring. It took overleveling a swamperth to lvl 92 just to make a dent on his team of lvl 60s

I love that a lot of Roms (Fire Red Omega, Emerald Kaizo, Renegade Platinum, Sacred Gold & Storm Silver, Blaze Black & Volt White, BBVW2, etc.) Make water a very good type especially for the AI (Facing off against gyarados in SGSS sucks) but very hard to work with SOMETIMES

Slowbro can actually be really good because it has slack off and recycle. With leppa berry that is infinite recovery to PP stall opponents. Adding on shell armor means it is more consistent too. Also Relicanth is sometimes brought for swift swim head smash on Glacia, and Walrein to absolutely TANK ice moves and encore them, then super fang

I really like the teambuilding. It makes the battling process quite more easy to understand in depth. Even though the entire story would be interesting. It would make the vids quite long and they would take like a month to be completed. You are free to comment how would you reach the elite four with each type. For example, with water types, when would you over level your pokemon (maybe at the third gym you will need a super fast swampert or a high level Ludicolo). You can mention any pokeon that could have been nice for the story, either for early access, or because you can catch them at a high level, or they came handy for a big battle, like for red's final team for example.

Water is probably the easiest type to monotype Emerald Kaizo with, you have Huge Power Azumarill, Gyarados, Suction Cups Octillery (to keep encounters from escaping), Volt Absorb Lanturn, Whiscash, Shell Armor Crawdaunt, Poliwrath, Kingdra, Explosion Cloyster, Wailord, Explosion Qwilfish, Shell Armor Slowbro, Ludicolo, and Milotic.

The real issue is getting through the mid game with auto sunny day and solar beam on 90% of the fights. Most fire types bring hp grass and you're lacking powerful moves to counter grass types until near the end game.
