Kyle Arneson Not only is Wobuffet horrible to encounter for Nuzlockes, but he's also bad to use on them. His greatest strength is tanking attacks and using the counters and mirror coats to deal damage. Great for competitive stuff and challenging to go up against in Nuzlockes, but way too risky. Cool for clutch situations but they won't get much milage out of him.

Ghost David pretty much yeah, im surprized some of their team last as long as they do, cause they tend to end up maining one over the others, in ss it was slowmara, in this its myex, and whenever you main something in a nuzlocke, the chances of it getting axed are exponentially greater.....its also why the steaming puddle of useless is still alive, melvin had what, 7 maybe 8 battles where he fought on his own, without being switched out or having a teammate

Dillion Macias but castform is way too slow and frail, and Juan can counter hail with his whiscash using rain dance, and also be immune to a rain dance-thunder from castform some of drake's Pokémon have rock and fire moves that would destroy castform-hail hail takes a turn to set up and can run out, so castform has to take TWO hits with its poor defenses n-ass-t, whatever that wailmer is called, and skidds can easily bulk out dragon attacks and kill with ice beam a potential lanturn could destroy juan's kingdra with water absorb to take damage only from ice beam and thunder-rain dance to never miss an attack after it spams double team (EDIT: lanturn only gets volt absorb so far, water absorb is the hidden ability, but it still has a ton of hp)

The only problem with Ice would be the Elite Four, so Gurds can take that on for sure if needed. But not for Juan, since he can still just use STAB Water and Dragon type attacks.

Only STAB water pulse. His Kingdra's two offensive moves are Water Pulse and Ice Beam, with Rest and Double Team to make him really annoying. This is why Borris would have crushed that Kingdra, taking 1/8th damage from the Ice Beam and 1/2 damage from the Water Pulse.

Trinate Martinez My assumption is that this play through is taking place several years after the Silver run in continuity. The Original Melvin was raised with care from an Egg by Tantor. MelvinTooz was also given away as an egg but abandoned because Slugma is terrible. So 20 something years later (Whatever level MelvinTooz was when they found him, I forgot) Maqubi finds him and takes him in for reasons even she cannot explain.

you can catch another Lum-chan on route 124 with dive I think, it also has clampearl and relicanth. relicanth is like 5% though and you can catch clampearl elsewhere guaranteeing an electric type!! upvote this so they see!!

the ability thick fat reduces the damage take BY FIRE AND ICE TYPE MOVES !!! Marill and Gurds both have that ability I think . marill is a very tanky pokemon and if you give gurds bulk up itll hit like a truck. or that cast form . use hail make it ice type so the kingdra will take hail damage every turn with ice type weather ball you should in theory be good to kill that kingdra. or you can get bellosom or vileplume . yes kingdra is a threat . leech seed plus hail plus sleep should make it easy to kill

Bellossom's movepool isn't exactly great this gen unfortunately, especially since they kinda "wasted" Giga Drain on The Game, when it could have been used for a Poke with a much better Special Attack Stat, like Bellossom.

Kingdra is neutral to electric and it's not a STAB move. Her poison attacks will be universally better against it anyways. Though I do agree that MyEx is probably one of their best bets in general.

Yea Kingdra was always some pretty OP typing, its dragon type protects its water type from grass and electric, whereas its water type protects its dragon type from ice (or does water not protect against ice, I'll admit I'm not the best at remembering every typing, still I loved using Kingdra in my games)

For the elite four concern down the road you could use castform, teach it hail it becomes ice type and weather ball copies the weather it's in so ice stab damage. Your concern would be that dragon guys Salamance very fast with flamethrower so maybe someone with a rock attack for him.

I'm saying your best bet is Aron/Lairon in victory road, which you have guaranteed on floor 1. Aggron would be good againnst dragon in elite 4: resist dragon because steel, without being weak to fire because rock (Which incidentaly would cover Flying, which you don't have anything against). Only issue would be flygon (4x weakness to ground) Extra points fo being one of the coolest 3rd gen pokemons.

Also, Kingdra's moveset doesn't contain an ice move, but it does contain double team and rest. It's using Bork's strategy here, so you just need a tank and someone to use a no miss move, which you have two options.

Anyhow, I'm Bobo, excuse me, Borrus. It's finally officially time I can properly record Maqubi's adventure. Today we are going to battle the Mossdeep Gym Leader... oh well look at that! Gym Leaders! Twins by the name of Tate and Liza. Grampa and I were going to battle these two first. Their first Pokemon were a Claydol and Xatu. The Xatu used Calm Mind to raise its offense and defense and the Claydol used Earthquake to hit everyone except Xatu. With a Shadow Punch form Grampa and a Surf from me, we almost took down the Claydol. The twins used a Hyper Potion on Claydol to heal it up and Xatu used Psychic on me. I was very close to falling and Grampa looked at me in a strange way. It's okay I'll be fine! Thank you Maqubi for healing me up! Let's continue Grampa! Xatu used another Psychic on me, but I was able to take it. The Claydol then used Earthquake... that... I couldn't take.... Really? Already? I just joined this team and I'm already.... And I was just starting... to get to know everyone.... I weakly tried to get out of the crevice the Earthquake trapped me in, but it was no use. Grampa floated over to me and said, "Have no fear... just close your eyes... It will all be over soon....". She's right... I sighed and decided to accept my fate... thank you for the kind words Grampa, I feel a lot better.... *sighhhh....* That poor Pokemon... Skidds was sent out to avenge the now passed Sealeo known as Borrus. Oh well... he at least looks peaceful.... For now I'll temporarily hold this journal for today.... At the very least, I was able to defeat the Xatu in memory of him, but the battle is yet to be won. The twins' next Pokemon was a Solrock, a Pokemon representing the sun and possibly from the cosmos. Skidds had used Surf and hit the two Pokemon but both were able to take the attack. Meanwhile the Solrock prepared a Solarbeam. This could be quite the conundrum for Skidds, so Skidds used Surf again and I was to focus on the Solrock, but luckily Skidds had gotten a critical hit on the Solrock, defeating it. After Solrock was defeated, Lunatone took its place. Another Pokemon possibly from the cosmos, one that represents the moon. My Shadow Punch was directed at the Solrock, but with it gone, I was free to attack the Lunatone and I was able to deal half of its health in damage. Skidds continued using Surf, but the Lunatone used Hypnosis... it appears I will unconscious for a bit of this battle.... I heard the song of a flute and I woke up. The Lunatone was defeated and all that's left was the Claydol. With one final attack, Skidds defeated the Claydol resulting in Maqubi beating Tate and Liza. The two presented Maqubi with the Mind Badge and TM04 Calm Mind. Maqubi left the gym feeling depressed. She went to the Pokemon Center to cancel her ownership of Borrus. After removing the NeverMeltIce from his body, Maqubi cast Borrus' body to the sea. A fitting funeral for a Water Pokemon. The Tropius BiggleFoot is returning to Maqubi's party once again and was given the EXP Share. Maqubi is decided to end the day with a heavy heart and slept in the Pokemon Center. While Maqubi slept, I crept outside my ball and floated towards the ocean. I located Borrus' body and placed my hand on his body. I grabbed his soul and pulled it free from the body. A confused looking Borrus looked at me for answers. "It is time." I simply told him. He understood, and I helped guide him towards the afterlife. Where he will go afterwards? Well, I believe that's up for him to decide... kukuku....

I'd suggest finding a Larion for the Elite Four- it would be a great Dragon killer and it'd be nice to have a Steel Rock type. Only problem is that it's in Victory Road

89Eldin which they can do after beating the 8th gym....assuming they survive it, since they have everything else they could encounter in victory road except for aron and lairon edit: my mistake, their are other things they could encounter on the basement floors: mawile(walking) geodude or graveler(rock smash), sableye(walking), goldeen barboach or wishcash(fishing), but thats about it for emerald, and being honest im fairly certain they will keep to the first floor to get their encounter, which again would only be either aron or lairon

Give Skidds Ice Beam. It can take a hit from the Salamence, Flygon, and Altaria in the E4 and then KO back with it. For the Kingdra, MyEx is probably the best choice. Put it to sleep with Yawn and then spam Sludge Bomb until it dies.

If you were willing to fight dragons with dragons I'm the elite 4 Flygon and Salamance both have the same base 100 speed stat. If you gave your Flygon good speed EV's and you put it at even footing, lvl 55, you can outspeed all of Drake's dragons. You'd probably want to switch out against the Kingdra but everything else it can beat. Route 118's Pokémon drop tons of speed EV's, and so does KO-ing Zubat in the cave of origin, and KO-ing Golbat in the inner cave of meteor falls while surfing.You can use Corbos to speed up the process and you can EV train and level Flazer at the same time using the EXP share if need be.

I'm not usually one to comment like this but it seems like it would have been better to will-o-wisp the Claydol. The burn would gut it's physical attack (which Earthquake goes off of) and it would keep doing damage. They didn't have any status healing objects so that would have made everything much safer.

What might be incredibly useful as a last addition party member is Lairon, it'll evolve one or two levels after you first catch it, you can get it in the first part of victory road, and the best part is if you don't move down a level before catching it, it's the only thing that'll show up that's new, it'll resist Dragon, be strong against ice, and all around a really good addition against the elite four. It can also learn Dragon Claw as Aggron, making it the best chance against Drake.

The best option for the team is Chinchou/Lanturn. They are common underwater in route 124 & 126. Lanturn is really tanky and can learn thunderbolt & ice beam which is great coverage. You can get multiple ice beam TMs via gambling.

They may not have said it for this run, I can't remember, but they've said before that if something faints it's dead. The trainer faints after a wipe, there fore dead. I'd be fine if they changed it, but for right now they consider a wipe the end.
