That safe space point is crazy accurate. I always come back to play this game whenever I’m stressed or bored. The music, the map, the starter Pokémon, secret bases, battle frontier the post game content. From top to bottom this game is amazing. I still play on emulator til this day and wish I knew people who loved this game as much as I do 😅😂

My emerald battery died finally a few years back and the first thing I did was find out which square had a Feebas on route 119, since that wont ever change with time standing still.

Feebas is low key one of the best designed pokemon of Gen 3. Gen 3 isn't even my favorite among design wise. Gen 2s designs r flawless n impeccable, Gen 2 really lived up to the hype we had for those games back then. it was a really special time growing up back then. I remember pokemania, I mean pokemon was literally EVERYWHERE. I remember stickers of pokemon just being all over on things, walls, buildings, trees, it was fun.

Pokemon Emerald has always been my favorite game in the series. It has the best starter in Swampert and the Battle Frontier is S+. No other game in the series has had better post-game content. Most of them only have a battle tower which is a letdown. The Battle Factory and the Battle Pyramid were two of my favorite pastimes. The Battle Pike and the Battle Dojo were fun for a minute and interesting ideas that would have been fun if they expanded on it.

Yeah too bad besides pokemon platinum, HGSS and BW/BW2 the new games doesn’t have much post game content, sometimes even none (Note: I never played pokemon BW1, I just know you unlock eastern Unova and there’s the White tree or the black city I dont know the name in English)

I’m replaying Pokemon Emerald for the first time in 18 years right now, and wow, this is an incredible game. I can see why this was the only GBA game I committed to fully complete as a kid; it’s packed with character and great content

There actually is time of day based exclusive pokemon in emerald, i belive theres only 2 but i promise you they exist lol i played this game as a kid and never knew it had them either untill i replayed a emulated version as an adult.

I did buy original Ruby Sapphire and emerald . Also have fire red and leaf green. Including all when i bought everything back in the day or my mom for my birthday. I remember having every poke in Pokedex excluding event poke. I loved everything. Fond memory. The Franchise will forever be part of my life. TO BE THE VERY BEST LIKE NO ONE EVER WAS. Good advice for a kids game.❤

the best games in the series (and still hasn't been surpassed yet) was G/S/C. Emerald is a personal close fave as it is the best of Gen 3. OR/AS were pretty good remakes. Gen 6 was good too.

The reason Steven was changed to Wallace was likely because at the time people complained that you could easily sweep the game with just Blaziken. Changing the Champion to using all water types, while completely overkill, *does* fix that issue Emerald in general fixes a lot of complaints people had about RS because GameFreak listened to players back then. Shame they dont do that anymore...

This was my first Pokémon game (and my third? videogame ever), when I was 9yo. It was magical, my first grand adventure. I remember telling my best friend in school how I discovered an ancient cave that lead me to catch the three regies, which seemed like one of those fake crazy rumours back then, except this one was real. I kept playing it every now and then until I completed the Battle Frontier (although I wasn't able to get all golden badges). Even if I don't enjoy it as much as before, I still consider this game as my favourite, or the one which had the most impact on me.

You Wii U Game Boy playing person you 😆 Bro The Game Boy SP back then was legendary! If you want that good Nostalgia experience I suggest getting a good SP with fire red or leaf green and Emerald. Or you could get a DS Lite. And enjoy the wonderful Pokemon games on the DS. Or you could be like me and mod your 2DS XL. Be able play everything from Generation 6 down ❤

To me, at the time, it looked like thunder, and the rain is a lot more prominent, so I assumed that since Kyogre was winning the battle, that meant that the world was flooding and not a combination of both. I made a lot of other mistakes in this video, too. Looking back, I wish I would have put more effort into the video, but at the time, I had a family member die of cancer and going through all that sapped my energy. I appreciate that you sat through this up to this point anyway, lol.

Regarding the shipping it’s kinda obvious the devs tried to put the characters in a relationship in ORAS, not only that but in the manga it’s a canon relationship. I always think it’s cute altho I’m not really into shipping or romance.

The only cons Gen 3 has are: > The lack of the Physical and Special split It really ruins some Pokemon like Sharpedo and Absol (in addition to the older ones). It's something that should've been added with the addition of the Dark type in Gen 2 since only Houndoom is a Special attacker. > The removal of the day and night cycle, though I'd take that over losing your save data any day. They could've tied it to the in-game clock, with it changing between day and night every couple of real-time hours. Everything else is amazing.

The game was ahead of its time. The lore in R/S/E is really fleshed out but just enough to where it could just take you a few hours to beat its story BUT the best features are after the game like finding the Regiis, battle city (Snake house was my favorite) and I loved the idea of playing Peer 2 peer in person. Wireless was just a thought in pokemon until we got the 1st Nintendo DS variant. Playing these games made my childhood bearable considering how I was abused as a kid but every chance I had to even look up pokemon on the computer made me so happy and its all I imagined and played when I never had a game system. I have a wild imagination so I spent hours pretending I was a pokemon trainer who was loved and I created fake scenarios in my head which cushioned every hit I got for whatever my aunt or her kids were pissed off at. Pokemon essentially saved me from unaliving myself from the pure neglect from family, bullying at school, abandonment from my entire family for being "ToO BaD"... i wish I had a childhood that was good.

Theres a way to get the gymleaders to battle you, every 20 trainer battles or every 60th wild pokemon encounter there is a 30% chance for a gymleader to want a rematch so it's not guranteed but i can assure you it def works i managed to battle all of them lol

i finished it today for the first time, i prefer sinnoh over hoenn to be honest, but i still appricate hoenn, i kinda cheated because i cought rayquaza before the elite 4 because i used all my pp restore items before and i had no choice all my team was under-leveled and my sceptile was level 60 because the game bombard you with water types so you have to use him, i usually dont use legenderies unless its a rematch but because it was my first time beating the elite 4 i wanted to finish it quickly, rayquaza's outrage sweep drakes's team so easly
