Pokemon Evolutions Booster Box Opening Pt. 1

A Pokemon Evolutions Booster Box is opened in this video. The Evolutions set is brand new to the Pokemon TCG and today is the official release date. Evolutions is a Base Set reprint set and contains all 1st Generation Pokemon. I bought this box from Collector's Cache for 94.99. The booster box includes 36 booster packs total, with 10 cards per pack, plus 1 online TCG code card in each pack. This is part 1.

I am 27 now so I grew up buying a lot of packs as a kid. I miss wizards of the coast pokemon cards. As a child I always pulled a lot of Electrodes. I was lucky enough to pull a Charizard as a kid. I still have it and I still buy cards to the day!

I hope they make some tins or blister packs for Evolutions! It is nice to see they reprinted the set, that way people who just started collecting Pokemon cards can have some cards from the Base Set can buy some packs for a much lower price than the original Base Set packs! I am hoping to get some of these as well, maybe I can get the Charizard holo.

i just bought a booster box from Collectors cash so excited for this set an hour ago! I can see the value of this set going way up because of the base set reprints of charizard and ofc the beautiful mega charizard full art. I really like the old school holo pattern on the cards and want to collect them all. I have already pulled the first charizard reverse holo from 6 random packs and very happy to have that. :) How many days will my box arrive if I do ground shipping USPS?

I'm so glad they buffed these cards, the original versions were quite weak in comparison, for example originally Machamp was 100hp and his Seismic Toss did only 60 for 4 energy, but now he has 160hp and Seismic Toss does 120 for 3 energy.

The lightest packs contain EX and full art cards. The middle weight packs may contain a break or holo. The heaviest packs contain nothing usually, but you could get a secret rare. So yes, they can still be weighed for premium cards. The method is just reversed.

Nice Vid! I think the BREAK cards don't work with this set. Also, if you'd like, you could separate the booster box into 4 parts so that each vid is less than 10 minutes long.

I was so excited! I went to my nearest target and got the Charizard Trainer kit! The set up reminds me of a Pre-Release tournament. 8 packs, 5 of each energy plus some pokemon official Dice and really nice poison and burn tokens, plus 65 Evolutions sleeves.... I guess incase you loose some. My pulls were... okay really. I got a MewTwo EX and a Slobro EX but no other holos besides that. I would have liked to see a Raichu like yours or anything. Got a lot of Nidoran Ms and Nidorinos but other than that, I can't really build a decent deck out of anything I pulled. I know this set is really made for nostalgia and collecting more than competitive battle but, still nothing in here really screams "Put me in a deck!" It looks like base set pokemon but... the old Wizards of the Coast cards had a very specific Feel about them... and having the esthetic without the feel kind of ruins the experience of opening these cards. I know... if I wanted old cards, I should open old cards. (which I have... actually. I found some at a flea market and opened them before opening this box :P) I guess what I'm trying to say is... couldn't they have used the same artwork as the old cards but put them in the newer format? Never the less... I am still pleased with the experience, the deck box is very professional and high quality built with starting collectors in mind. If you are new to collecting cards (Like I am since I sold all my older cards.... sort of a "reset") than this is the perfect way of jumping in head first!

I somewhat agree with you, when I first started opening Evolutions, the different style, especially the font, really stood out to me, but after opening a booster box, the only thing I dislike is that there is no holo of Blastoise and Venusaur.
