@@Skyewars No worries, thanks for the answer :D If you don't mind, may I ask one final question? How does Gardevoir fit in the family tree? So far I think it could be an Echinoderm descended from Cradily, alongside many living Plant Pokémon like Bird Keeper Toby theorized.

It's a good depiction of a very interesting concept. However, I've never been particularly fond of interpreting Bulbasaur as a frog. He seems more like some kind of early, non-mammalian synapsid to me. And there's at least some scientists who agree with me, considering there's literally a genus of dicynodont called _Bulbasaurus_

This is great! Maybe you should’ve tied in Tirtouga/Carracosta into the Squirtle evolution too, as it’s canonically the ancestor of all turtle pokemon.

Interesting. I'd never seen the dex entries claiming Tirtouga was the ancestor of most turtle pokemon. Though it probably wouldn't have changed my decision; the animal Tirtouga was based on wasn't the ancestor of most turtles, so instead Tirtouga is a cousin of Squirtle
