Pokemon FireRed Hardcore Nuzlocke - ICE TYPE Pokemon Only! (No Items, No Overleveling)

Can I beat a Pokemon FireRed Hardcore Nuzlocke only using Ice Type Pokemon?
Normal Nuzlocke Rules:
1) Can only catch the first ice type encounter on each route (species and dupes clauses in effect)
2) Fainted Pokemon must be released or permanently boxed
3) Nickname every Pokemon
Additional Hardcore Nuzlocke Rules (popularized by Pokemon Challenges):
4) No leveling past the next gym leader/E4 Member's ace (BEFORE the START of the battle)
5) No items in battle (Held items are permitted)
6) Battle mode must be on "Set"

Something that could have made Misty easier and you not going over the level cap for Surge: don't grind too much before the rival on Nugget Bridge. Just fight all mandatory trainers there and then head to SS Anne until you get to level 21. Then you fight Misty and go back to whatever you were doing :)

Being over leveled or at the same level as the Champion would have saved your Jynx. You did'nt have to sacrifice Cloyster. Try using Fire Red Omega instead. You can start with Smoochum, Elekid or Magby. You get the national dex asap so can catch more pkmn. There are new areas to explore.

Definitely recommend firered/leafgreen as a good game to nuzlocke - not too difficult but can still pose a challenge depending on your ruleset

Any way to do this without starting Jynx? With any unevolved starter including non-native Kanto pokemon (swinub, spheal, snorunt). Attempted this challenge with slightly different rules (that's essentially the different rule) and, well, Misty is a hard wall due to level cap with Spheal, or without insane RNG (bite flnches) on Snorunt. WOuld be interested to see someone complete this.

Use several pickup Meowths to get more items. like TM 10 Hidden power. They make good HM users for Cut & Flash. The higher the level the better the items. You could have had 2 level 31's from the Bond bridge area of Three island. Check the regularly to see waht they have.
