Good luck with the shiny Ekans hunt! I got lucky the other week with a shiny Cyndaquil in HeartGold, which was nice because it's my favourite gen 2 starter. Fun hunt though, nonetheless!

nice video man. I personally never had the patience for voltorb flip. I ended up finding a website to help me cheat it lol. Keep grinding though. I also started using journals for my games as well because of you. It really makes grinding pokemon more enjoyable.

If you feel the Forretress is a bit lacking there is Steelix in Cliff Cave(use Magnet Pull Magnemite to encounter it easily), and because there is the trade later that requires Forretress although you can always raise another one for it.

I’m preparing for Elite 4 and have Arbok on my team with Crunch, Headbutt, Ice Fang and Glare, paraflinching with Glare and Headbutt is really nice.

I decided to complete 100% of the mainline games through RetroAchievements, starting with Fire Red. And yesterday, while training my recently captured Pikachu, I ended up finding a female Shiny Pidgey! I was very happy, as this was precisely the first Shiny captured by me on an old Fire Red cartridge (the first Pokémon game I played). From what I researched, just change the save file extension to run on an emulator that allows trades, and I was wondering if you see any use for a Modest Pidgeot in Battle Frontier. As your offensive power becomes very limited by the nature, I saw a set of purely status moves to reduce accuracy and attack, but I don't know if it would be as effective.

In Voltorb Flip, selecting the squares you know are 1 at the start of each round is good, because if you select enough safe squares you won’t drop any levels if you flip a Voltorb: eg. Level 6 and you flip at least 6 point squares you won’t drop levels, Level 6 and you only flip 4 point squares before Voltorb you’ll drop to Lvl 4

RNG can be rewarding, but for me, the dopamine doesn’t hit harder than a random encounter shiny. I’m telling you, when I finally got my shiny Charmander after 11k resets, I was GLOWING for about a week afterwards. And every time I look at it, I can’t help but smile. I do have a Shiny Reuniclus that I RNGed after 4 hours and I absolutely adore her though. Just do what you find the most fun!

Hmh is it wroth it investing so much time in a single player game ? I mean what do you plan after finishing your goals , like in emerald , its dusting now. Back in the days we had friends to battle against now we dont. I have white 2 hearth gold platinum here but i dont really want to invest time in it since i have nobody to battle against , also i dicovered everything these games can offer back then already. Whats the point then for what are you preparing your Team ? When theres nobody else out there to battle with hmh is it really wroth the time? Can you give me a good reason to sink 500 hours in a singel player game? It feels like skyrim , one day you did everything possible and then you put the game back in the box.

Because it's supposed to be fun? Trying out new team compositions, maybe with pokemon you have never used or even dislike. Challenge yourself with a nuzlocke or have a soul-link nuzlocke with your friend. If you don't have fun with your games why even own them?

This channel has inspired me already to make my own journal for videogames :) Also, I might have commented on this before but I'm loving your videos, seeing you go through the game reminds me of when I was playing them myself, building my own team and stuff :) I got to be very good at the Voltorb game, and this game was the one that made me fall in love with Dragonite 🫰🏻
