Just a heads up with the buddy system. You don't need to touch the icon to get to the buddy system progress bar. When you pull up your "Trainer Card" where it shows your level and xp just tap on the Pokemon you are walking. It is a small thing but still a nice addition.

It's basically the same as World of Warcraft. Whenever you have a MASSIVE user base you're gonna have MASSIVE departures when people quit playing but no matter what the game in question still has a MASSIVE following. For example I quit playing GO until they instituted a proper tracking feature (since at this point wandering around aimlessly lost it's appeal) but now with this buddy system I'll definitely play again. The buddy system at the moment provides what the tracking feature is currently missing which is tangible progress and that's gonna bring me back. Once they get the tracking feature all fixed up i'll be properly addicted again. hahaha

Ey Ali-A if you need to lvl up or really low on poke-balls just go to Columbus, GA go to the "Riverwalk" where there is a ton of poke stop and have some fun of rafts and kayaks or go zipling and in return go to Arnold Magnet Academy. Were there will be Team Mystic, Valor, and Instinct ( Mystic Rules the school )

I love how they always talk about saving Eevee Candy's for Gen2.. and I catch 4-5 per day - they spawn as regularly as Pidgeys and Weedles. I currently have 302 Candies and 11 80%+ Eevees to evolve. On the gloom side - picked up a 100% Eevee this morning at 602CP and decided to evolve right away hoping for that Vape! And I get a Flareon w/second best move set. Not Fantastic, but Im ok w/that.

You need the candies to power up, so it doesn't matter if the pokemon doesn't have an evolution. If you want to power up a pokemon that only has one evolution you'll still need candy to do it.

If you don't have to use anything to get the candies such as your pokeballs, then it's free. Except that you have to use your legs, but that's literally the whole point of the game, is to get up and walk while catching some awesome Pokémon!!!!!!!

There really is no two ways around it they are not free candies. For starters, using your legs requires food energy which equates to real money unless you grow your own. Even then, you had to pay for the power used to charge your phone.
