It frustrates me that Niantic spent literal nothing on support, it just makes them seem so damn ignorant and not learning to accept criticisms to get better. Its so obvious when they added the new graphics for the map, they wanted to make players forget entirely about the avatars, and that it was final. ​@@StepCrowSame here. Game just kept crashing, freezing and not loading at all even after I uninstalled and reinstalled it multiple times. I may have been soft banned for using a second account. If yes then it was unfair since I never used it to cheat and I played it locally. Reason I used it was to remove my main account from the gyms since there was no one else playing, I was effectively playing solo after the others moved away or quit.

The mainline Pokémon games have completely removed referring to choosing your player character by their gender ("Are you a boy or a girl?"), and Niantic have nerfed the femininity of PoGo female player avatars - not even Splatoon has escaped the erasure of sexual dimorphism, as though "There's no 'just male or female' anymore" and every character should just be a malleable genderless blob nowadays.

I agree with pretty much any negatives on the brand new avatars cause they are abominations and not only that they are lifeless but also they are soulless in terms of brand new avatars. Niantic trash’s the comments that are negative and cherry picks anything that is positive or something they take. Biomes however sure they are not perfect cause they have glitches with biomes and some Pokémon are glitches. Like Doduo, and the Hippo pokemon as well. There is a shiny glitch as well which to me is strange and kind of odd. The Pokémon is not a Slowpoke just to be clear on this. Thanks crash for talking about the new avatars and also their is supposed to be a new Ar feature coming May 7th so until then Crash. Also look forward to this and more vids.

i love that the avatars arent even half of the problems in the game. i mean the AR+ is completely broken, i encountered a galarian moltres and it wouldnt let me throw pokeballs or use berries and the fact that the weather is also wrong 90% of the time in my city. then we have the raid pass issues and the increase in prices all the time

Okay okay this update and this whole thing is stupid on Niantic part but even if I’m in the minority I believe the remote raid pass removal was the right thing to do. They were really only introduced so the game could still make money during Covid now that Covid isn’t, as big of a problem people can go outside and walk and play the game as intended now so the remote raids shouldn’t be as necessary as far as I know that kept them in the game still so if you have friends in other countries you can still use them Just more sparingly honestly I don’t care what people say. The remote raid passes for me is what ruined most of the raid communities around my area. None of them exist anymore ever since remote raids a thing because everyone just does them from Home. Totally agree with the rest of the community on this update though the avatars look horrible now the update could’ve been great and even the options we have would be fine if they didn’t completely remove the original default models like come on give us more options as well as the old one not just new options none of which look good

I agree with you one both points, but I have to say some of the newer events were a bit too lazyly done. Cutting some of the remote raid stuff is ok in my opinion, but the player characters update is horrible. I did read some comments that remote raid cutting is making it worse for countryside playing, and I do agree. But maybe people could still add more pokéstop and stuff near their home, they could still trave to some place that has more people to get raids, unless they live some very very far away froom anyone.

This whole idea of reflecting real bodies just feels like anti body positivity. What if a person wants to have a sexy attractive avatar becuase in RL the person isn’t attractive or has some deformity? What about kids with gender disphoria that choose opposite gender feminine / masculine avatars because it matches how they feel?
