Pokemon games give you nostalgic memories that no other games do. I can't listen to this song thinking about all the fun times I had with my Totodile, watching him evolve, getting new Pokemon, doing stupid shit like saving after I killed Lugia and the shiny Gyarados. Beating Lance, going to Kanto, beating it's gym leaders, and finally, having the legendary final battle with Red... These games manage to only bring back good memories that will last a lifetime, which is why my favorite game ever is Pokemon Crystal. But you can get the same experience by trying out any other game from this franchise doesn't matter the graphics, the designs, the rivals, but the good memories.
