I agree. The fear of missing out is real, unfortunately. smh.. they see so many people with their growing inventory and they only have a few. They see these cases, booster boxes, or single cards going up in value, and they feel being priced out of play, the desperation to catch up grows. It is unhealthy, and it needs to slow down, I believe. People need to realize that there are other plays! They may be too late for the last set; they should be fine! Another great video Alex. Than you for that.👍 One of the things I've seen is that some people are very anxious and desperate when it comes to investing in Pokemon. One of the principles about investing is NEVER touching your savings and NEVER using a credit card to make investments. If anyone is in this direction BE CAREFUL. We have to invest according to what we can. Some can invest more than others and that's okay. There's nothing wrong with that. If you can spend $2,000 dollars with Pokemon its ok...if you can with just $100 dollars that's fine too. What we cannot do is exceed your financial limit, otherwise it is 100% certain that you will have problems. Investing in Pokemon or just collecting them is really cool, but let's not get hurt Be careful guys.

my very modest take: buy a little of each set at release. that's it. it minimizes your risk with still great return. trying to predict popular sets and only buying those will get you too heavy in some sets that just don't perform as well as others. its ironically just like the stock market. the best way to make money in the stock market is steady investment at regular intervals that way peaks and lows all wash out in the end. if you wait around for the PERFECT time to buy, you'll screw up. just be consistent.

Nice Job. Awesome gesture. I only buy Pokémon singles/sealed AFTER I deposit into checking/savings/401k. If I have extra left over….maybe I grab another Mew ex 232/091 CGC Gem Mint 10 (my favorite card EVER). 151 will go down to 30-40% and stabilize. If there is a reprint, many people will lose (short term because they gotta sell to get some $$$ back). Long term (5+ years) it will be a great product.

I think a lot of overspending is due to the lack of education in learning how to be financially responsible. People see credit cards as a - pay now (maybe) pay back later, instead of a way to gain benefits or points for free airmiles among other things. Being incapable of paying off your CC or just accumulating debt for things like this could be fixed by learning about financial discipline. Anyways great videos man, love watching your channel!

For those struggling, I would suggest having a budget. First list how much you owe for your monthly bills, groceries, credit cards etc and whatever is left is your spending money. When I was new to the hobby I was too excited and regret spending so much, so much to the point that I got mad at myself lol! To be honest I’m not that special, I don’t buy cases, I just get a few booster boxes because that’s all I can afford. Please don’t compare yourself to others, everyone has different measures of wealth/capital. Just keep close track of the market and use your best judgment on what to buy. I hope this helps!

The value increase in some S&V sets recently has ignited a frenzy of "new" people who are not really into TCGs to come in for the quick tendies. The market cycle has turned bullish, and people are starting to overleverage. They are jumping in not because of genuine interest but of emotions such as fear and greed. Most of these people will not be around in a couple of years and will quickly dump everything once they realize they can't 10x overnight. The market cycle will then rinse and repeat every couple of years, as it always has. This happens in ALL markets. Those that lose are those who don't understand basic human psychology and market cycles.

I am a student, i work besides my full time study, all the money i earn go to pokemon investing. I have now a lot evolving, silver tempest, surging sparks etc. I think i am going to hood this tactic. Higher risk higher reward. Thanks for the vid tho!

I hate to say it but 151 grew enough, I’m so surprised people aren’t taking their profits and moving on. If I had more sealed product, it would’ve been gone already lol. Greed can be an evil thing. EDIT: also, missing out on 151, and not buying is, in my opinion, solid advice. Paying such high prices for something you MAY get gain on, is a sign of obsession. You could make bigger gains buying other/more products I feel like

Time to now sell over the next 4 years and move onto another chapter in my life
