@@PokeBeardTCG not a fan of S&V base, the only cards I like in that set is the gardevoir line and the great tusk ex and I guess the Riolu is cool…not a fan of the miraidon or the koraidon…Obsidian got the Charizard which in my opinion is underrated and they also got an super underrated Ninetails. They got a few other fire cards like cleffa, houndour, scizor, lechonk and gloom…as for shrouded that houndoom and Persian are 🔥🔥 super underrated and I also like the cufant, and the Cassiopeia…even the munkidori IR in the trees is nicer then most the cards in S&V base in my opinion lol

I just snapped up a bunch of stellar crown boxes at 105 shipped and they've already hit a floor of 120 on tcgplayer I think your evaluation of all sets are correct, but I wanna remind people even a "decent" or "good" set of sealed pokemon is usually pretty insane vs just about all other asset classes

A very solid assessment just in my opinion. I think Obsidian is a little better than people give it credit for so it was nice to see it get a little bit of love from an investment standpoint as the ETB is lovely. Prismatic looks all of that and more right now - we will have to see but it could be immense. The FOMO is strong with this one.............thanks Beard, great video and you have made me happy as you referred to a lot of products that are in my sealed collection so hopefully we have called it right and in time they will become strong performers. Although sadly as a collector i dont like letting things go. I know, I know.

Paldean Fates is one of my favorites!! I wish Pokémon would do Secret rares after a few months or years. You know, to increase the amount of new cards for "old sets" and make them to circulate more. Printing some booster bundles that have the possibility to pull the new cards they have created and also previous ones.

My prediction for Prismatic Evolutions is that there will be 2 SIR’s per Eeveelution - 1 tera, and 1 regular form. I’d like to think that the PC would be at least somewhat aware that not everyone likes the crowns, and with it being an Eevee set, provide fans with 2 arts per. That would take care of just over half of the 32 SIR’s in the set and leave an ample amount for other Pokemon and trainers. Paldean Fates has definitely been slept on, but it is bloated with baby shinies. They’re cool, don’t get me wrong. I just think there are way too many.

It only makes sense to me just because of how popular ES was and how much it’s appreciated in value - with it being out of print, Pokemon Company are not really making any money off of it anymore, just investors and collectors. So it would make sense for them to create new Eeveelution chase cards for a special set that won’t have booster boxes, but a TON of smaller products being drip released throughout next year. And they’d be crazy to only do tera SIR’s for the Eeveelutions, so if they do both, people will absolutely keep throwing money at this set in a bunch of different formats to pull those chase cards. Not to mention all the promo cards they’ll make - if those are also unique arts…

I’ve always felt 151’s biggest mistake was not giving us a Gengar ex SIR and Dragonite ex SIR/Lapras IR. they didn’t even give Gengar a sir in the set he’s literally featured in. Also shouldve given us new red and blue cards. Imagine a SIR Red or SIR Blue in 151 it woulda been nuclear. Last thing, feel inclined to hate on the surging sparks SIR lineup, giving us Durant and archaludon(which is the worst alt art of all time) over black kyurem and flygon SIRs is a joke

@MieXuL ill break it down why i like it. Remember this is for long term. 1. First set in pokemon history with silver boarders 2. First set ever with irs and sirs 3. First ever miraidon & koraidon card 4. Miraidon & koraidon are the first legendary pokemon ever that you can use right away in the game that sold more then almost every game. 5. The gardevoir family illustration rare line 6. Most base sets hold great value and this base set is extremely historic and changed pokemon forever with the silver boarders. Even pokemon is all done with ash, and this is the first generation ever where they went super hard with the new pokemon for almost every set.

Side note they are all now panic selling them for about $75 .... So less than $7.50 a pack. At mine..... walked in Tuesday morning, saw half a pallet of mixed 151 and PF . ME and another guy grabbed 6 boxes or 3 complete sets of 151 and 1 set of PF. Glad I dont go to "those" COSTCO's.

And then for irs, they pretty much just have gastly. Which stellar bulbusaur and squirtle destroy that. It's also a way smaller set than paradox and paldea.

@@PokeBeardTCG we called them dogs back in my day. I just got back into collecting and I think they look great. I'm glad the boxes aren't expensive but I would of bought them even if they were going for 200 just due to nostalgia. I'm sure I wont be the only one to do this in the future.

I like the list but for me surging sparks is decent and twilight is in best s&v base for me is 2nd worst. After looking at the surging sparks cards, I don’t understand the hype around it except the pikachu….remember how super hyped vivid was? Better than vivid,but in scarlet violet terms it’s similar-ish. In sealed terms I dunno, I can’t keep stuff sealed if my life depended on it, way to curious on what’s inside lol I have a couple Pokemon center etb’s coming I intend to keep sealed, prob won’t last as soon as I get them 😂😂😂

Let's get rid of greninja and eevee. What are you chasing in twilight? I'll wait. Please never bring up vivid as an example. Its the worst take in all of pokemon. Did you even watch the full video? Vivid came out super early and was the best set in swsh at the time. We then got alt arts which made the prior sets look like garbage. Were already pretty far in sv era to where that wont happen. I dont understand how you guys dont get this. Do you know how popular latias is? Do you know how popular milotic is? Do you know how popular hydreigon is? Do you know how popular pikachu is? Now go look at all the sets and then tell me what other set besides 151 has more popular pokemon as sirs.

@PokeBeardTCG Perrin,Carmine,Greninja,Evee, infernape, Growlith. In surging sparks: pilachu sir would be my chase. Would hope to pull latios, latias, pikachu gold, maybe milotic but that’s about it and form what I see so far in videos….pull rates as far as opening pack is brutal, we shall see. Not comparing it to vivid, shrouded fable beats vivid. Just saying as far as all the sets in scarlet violet this particular set gives me vivid vibes. Get rid of the pikachus alone and this sets popularity isn’t there.Without seeing prismatic evolutions to this point, Greninja is the sv moonbreon based on popularity and super tough pull rate. For me with surging sparks, I pull the pikachu sir and I’m off stacking my budget for prismatic.

@simple_random_stuff i said, "Get rid of the greninja and eevee and you're left with 2 female trainers and 2 illustration rares. That doesn't scream best set at all. Especially most people could care less about the trainers. They're just super playable. Surging has pikachu, latias, milotic, hydreigon, exeggutor, and lisias appeal. Get rid of the pikachu and it still has more popular chases than almost every sv set.
