Id say right now is a good time to sell. Market is at its peak. A crash will come and people will be looking and remember their cards or products that weree up 100% +++ Can never go wrong with gains but you can lose after the crash. I mostly have sealed boosterboxes and wanted to hold for long long time so my time is another 5-10 years. Your camera is so clean I thought it was green screen.

Evolving Skies. Team Up. Flashfire. One set out of each series booms. If you’re investing, sell of what you can to bring your net investment to zero. Sit on everything else. Every year, sell what you need to buy your new investments. I started buying a box or two of each set in XY just after Ultra Prism was released, and snowballed it from there. I’ve now go $80k of sealed product going into a bull market. I wish I’d bought more than 1 case of evolving skies, but regardless, I have a net 0 investment, and I’ve spent more time cooking dinner than I have messing with price charts. Don’t let anyone tell you cardboard isn’t an investment lol.

Just did my first flip. Bought two surging sparks boosters at 105 per and sold one at the 210 mark. Kinda wish i did the rule of 3 but it is what it is. My plan is to do that for future sets while always holding one for my collection. I think for me personally i'm going to sell around the $400-$600 mark consistently going forward. That gives a 2x-4x on profit depending on the hype and obtainability of the set. But also I feel like thats still an obtainable price point for a wide group of people. Love the channel and advice you give that has helped me and many others! Keep it up!

I don't know any vendors that will buy for 100% regardless of the set. That doesn't make sense from a business standpoint. Going to a card show you're selling to a business, expecting market value for any product is going to leave you upset.

Why is it that when a lot of investors talk about selling they talk about time more than price? Times important but it seems to make more sense to have a target price in mind to sell things. My goal is when something hits a 3x on price I will sell enough product to cover my initial investment. Is this a good strategy?

The reason a lot of Poke investors talk about long term is because it's been proven to have really massive gains at that point. But if you can 3x your money, sell and re invest in the new set, rinse and repeat that's a super solid and very viable strategy.

I get the feeling that once a set goes over a particular price it becomes harder to sell, and that at that point it might be worth selling some and reinvesting in more liquid items. I might be wrong but realistically how many people are going to spend 1k on a booster box or even 500?

If it's really clean consider grading it. PSA 10s are selling right now for for about $580. Then it's worth more and you can sell it or feel better about keeping it.
