So the potential starters for this game has a few exclusions, Not gonna be the main starters so the Kalos starters are not gonna be the starters. They won't repeat the hisuian starters, so Rowlet, Cyndaquil and samurott won't be the starters. It's probably not gonna be an existing mega starter so it can't be the hoenn or the Kanto starters. That leaves chikorita, totodile, tepig, snivy, Litten, poplio, sinnoh starters, Galar starter and Paldea starters. I don't think the Paldea starters will be in the game though. I think it will be a Galar, sinnoh and maybe another Johto starter

I personally still think it will be in the past. It will just happen between the events of the War/Ultimate Weapon and the storyline of X and Y. We have to think about it, if AZ was able to create the Ultimate Weapon they had to have the technology to have a already urbanized Lumiose City right? Hence the "Urban Redevelopment Project"

Think about this for a second If this game does take place in the past it would have the perfect setup. In the X and Y anime Ash visits the ninja village with an ancient hero who had a Greninja like Ash’s Greninja. This game could involve the hero from the ninja village. That's why Zac removed Lumiose on his name because he might get sued hahahaha That's why it's called Pokemon Legends Z-A because its usually takes place before the original game comes up. The holographic presentation is just a blueprint for redeveloping the urbanize Lumiose City. The key words here we know it's before XY is the "A Vision of beautiful coexistence between people and Pokemon..." means that there are still conflict with the relationship if pokemon and humans. Modern eras are now getting along with pokemon but here it's to coexist. Also not a coincidence that they choose Kalos after Paldea because Paldea is a representation of Spain so it's near France which Kalos is based on. Not gonna be surprised if they mentioned Paldea and Galar (representation of UK) because they were in war before.
