Me and a close friend of mine have always said, if our collections go boom one day then, amazing. Holidays and more packs. If pokemon goes bust one day, oh well. The joy I'll have opening all my sealed stuff with friends and family will be SO WORTH IT

Something to consider is that vintage psa cards 9-10s have gone down significantly. Which is great for vintage collectors.

Now is a great time to pick up just about anything sealed. I've picked up products with as much as a 50% discount in recent weeks. A great time to have your eyes open to deals!

Again, I can't help getting annoyed by this random information! ex series boosters have doubled in price and are fewer and fewer on cardmarket..... That's just one example, I could bring more things up if I wanted to. Everytime you bring up vintage it's almost always Base Set and Base Set Charizard like they're the only old cards ever made.

I explained that I used those as examples because they're traded very commonly. I did say there are niche hot items that are rising because just as you said they are low in supply but those aren't indicative of the whole market.

Entire eras of core sealed products (not just gen 3) are not niche if you're going to generalize about vintage and modern. If you were strictly talking about prices on modern sealed products then I wouldn't have much to add. You clearly stated that in general the sealed vintage market has remained stagnant which is false. For example, it makes the average viewer that doesn't know any better think that if he now sees an ex deoxys booster at 400 euros today it was 400 euros a year ago too, definitely not the case.

The pokemon market tends to go up whenever a set comes out because there is just a lot more engagement and advertisement that focuses on pokemon products. Best time to buy is a month or two after sets come out (for collectors). Sellers should look to sell when a set is coming out. I am not sure if some event will happen that will boost it above the stagnation (maybe detective pikachu 2 or a new pokemon game) but I don't mind the marketing stagnating. It's good to see that pokemon is still viable for buyers and sellers.

Would you disagree about cards like magikarp doesnt hold value? Or. Cards from shiny treasure ex. So as i said i dont think its down as most say but its healthy. Dont get me wrong i comprehend what your talking about but i wish this video was longer and if you had showed more and had more compete data. And i was confused about sealed products are boring but you have alot in your background and on collectr app? @TwicebakedJake imo im pretty much stating all the sword and shield era. Those are the ones that came to mind. Some just had a reprint, but not long ago, they did go down in price and now have rebounded. It just gives a negative spin on the market, and many people watch your videos and may only take your spin on things. Which can put people down and may not want to carry on it the hobby. Telling people you may have lost money if you bought these or still flat lining, which is ok...

The only ones that come to mind are darkness, ablaze, and vivid voltage that may be underachieving. So, coming back to your question, they are hot sets or the norm. I would say the norm based on the overall performance of the sword and shield era only 2 sets (lackluster) underperformed.

Such high populations psa cards for Pokemon, upwards of 6k-10k+ in 10s just shows how much grading has flooded the market. I now enjoy black labels, the perfect card, with a low pop. Yes expensive, but for good reason. And as sets go out of print and less of them getting sent to BGS the pop for black labels stay low. Just my 2 cents

Won't be stable for long. Market's about to collapse. Low unemployment has kept it from happening thus far but you can feel what's about to happen and all the math shows what's coming as well. Still in the largest bubble in world history across all assets.

@@jr4elena It means that as people struggle more and more to pay their bills and continue getting laid off, they're going to get rid of their cards all at once, tanking values. We're going back to 2019 Pokémon prices for most cards. 70-80% crashes.

Not sure this is a correct take on the Base Set Packs... It's not about demand, demand is pretty high as I do sell 5 figures of these every month. The correct take is the fact these have remained steady similar to base Set Zards during a period where the market overall has regressed nearly 25-50% since its peak in 2022. That tells me the "demand" is still willing to pay strong for those due to lack of availability in comparison to other items. Additionally, you aren't accounting for condition which plays a massive part in sealed. Not all Blisters, Sealed Boxes, etc. are the same. The condition of the pack itself plays a role, whether weights are high, Heavy vs Light, etc... I also would not ever use TCGplayer as a reference to market values for Vintage Sealed.

Sealed products of just about anything is great for a collection and for value. I feel like sealed will always appreciate in value. To me, yeah, evolving skies is not really great and I'm shocked how much they go for! I have some sealed single booster because of the value, everything I've opened with evo skies, has just gone into a box instead of ripping the pack. When it first cane out I got a sylveon alt art and that was about it 🤣 There is no moonbreon as far as I'm concerned 😂 Great video as always Jake. 👍 Single cards are more undemanding as I feel a lot of people are wanting them to complete sets and save on hunting so hard for them. I de feel that the market though, is still very high and in high demand. Shelves around me get stocked, and wiped out in that same day or the next. Nothing lasts but sports cards.

I just got my PSA sub back. Sent 10 cards. Six Van Gogh Pikas, two GameStop Umbreons, and two small Gengar from phantom forces. Got nine 10’s and the only 9 was a Gengar. So happy
