It's never too late to start playing the main games. Although the graphics of Gen 1 kind of suck, every single main game is worth playing over and over again. That's at least what I do.

Some of these are actually from the games. You should play one. They tend to be relaxing. Other than Whitney's damn Miltank! I think the next games may be a good jumping off point. Sword and Shield are too easy, and Diamond and Pearl look too much like the originals when the fans wanted at least the XY art style or better.

Basic reason for why a lot of people don't like swsh. We're comparing it to games like bw and bw2 and prior. The story in those games were phenomenal. Swsh storyline is good, but Hop can be a bit annoying at times. "you already know about super effective moves?!?" condescending as hell for people who played pokémon for many years. As for dppt remakes.... We just want something like swsh or Arceus, where we get to explore the world better. Sure, the 2.5d chibi artstyle wasn't terrible, and people somewhat got used to it, but they could've done it much better. I don't know how The World Ends With You 3's reception was, but personally, it's my least favorite game that I've played. Good concept, but the DS did it justice. I felt like that, but with bdsp. I want it to be like that moment when sora was announced for smash bros. I've been wanting him to come to smash bros for many.... Many years. He came, I got hyped, I cried, and he was almost everything I could imagine him to be in smash. Now bdsp was, it came, I got hyped, I saw the trailer, I was let down but played it because it was quote on quote, "updated".
