PokéMMO is a clkent, so its a software that WORKS with the ROMs. And thats the whole difference because they don't get the ROMs themselves, only the players needs to

You can play pokemmo on PC, iOS, Android... there are even people who mod their Steam Deck or Nintendo Switch to play PokeMMO on it, and from what I've seen it runs smoothly no matter the platform 😉

Pretty sure this is something lots of fans have been asking for since at least gen 4. If Nintendo (and really any AAA developer) won't provide any better service or product then it's totally fine if other people capitalize on it. It is so easy, too. Nintendo basically has infinite money and they couldn't pull this off? Charge with a subscription model and they would never have to make another video game again.

i tried it but server was keep crashing and chat is terrible - was taking 2 minutes before my message would appear then server would crash - pokemon revolution online was a bad experience for me - it was good when there was 3 servers - now they probably use cheaper servers since not many people play it anymore

The game "took off" years ago and continues to outshine any official release. But no it doesn't follow EVERY main storyline. Just up until black and white. Johto was just added so now you can play all the older generations campaigns in full with every pokemon up to and including gen 8.

Yes but no only post ending tier legendaries like mewtwo ho oh lugia etc. But not in conventional way. You have to battle every player that challenges you or vice versa otherwise you lose it if you're beaten or it leaves you if you go too long without battling.

When you start your game, you can go to another region as soon as you reach the 4th badge in the first one! To go back tho your 1st region you just need to go back to your house and talk to your mom
