Larenti... What a poor guy. Larenti, the son of the Pokemon Champion Tantor, was destined for great things. Pokemon naturally took a liking to him, sensing his strength and compassion from the get-go, despite his lack of drive for the Pokemon Trainer lifestyle. But Larenti didn't mind their insistence to be near him, he enjoyed making the Pokemon happy and most were content with just resting beside him while he played on his Wii U, or slept in his bed. For a long time, Larenti was happy. Even though he only met his father once, with both parties being unable to converse with each other due to Tantor's... Tantorness and Larenti being too wrapped up in an intense game of Mario Kart, he held no resentment for the man's constant traveling. The Champion often sent money to the house for his wife, despite her saying she didn't need it, and even paid for the family's move to Aloha, stating "Tantor? Tantor Tantor. Tan...Tantor." which nearly moved his wife to tears at how thoughtful he was. Of course, neither of them actually asked Larenti if he wanted to go to Aloha, but he went along with it anyways. His mother had his Wii U already packed up, after all. Now that the Champion's Son has finally reached his new home, he was eager to get back to what he was doing before... Sleeping and playing games. With the family Meowth, which Tantor rescued from a Power Plant in Kanto, being such a worthy opponent for the boy, he was never bored and never had any need to go find friends... Up until his so called "Cousin" and Mother forced him out of the house to find a new friend. Unable to refuse, especially with only an hour of sleep after a long and annoying plane ride, Larenti went along with it. Although he didn't actually want to, he found himself unable to refuse the longing gaze of the bird that he was forced to meet. This little owl, which he gifted the name 'Sito' in honor of a game he played, quickly found its place at Larenti's side and was content with that. However, the adults of the island, including Larenti's own mother, had other plans. Despite Tantor's parting words to the woman, she was insistent to make their son as wonderful as his father, and secretly pulled the strings of the Professor and Kahuna to force Larenti into positions he couldn't refuse, knowing the boy's nature. Even though the boy complained constantly about just wanting to go sleep, his lack of drive made him unable to stop as he was pulled along to a journey he didn't want to have in the first place. With only an hour of sleep and his Wii U taking up most of his thoughts, will Larenti be able to conquer the island challenges, just so people will leave him alone? Or will he be forced to turn his GUNBEAK on the ones trying to lead him on a metaphorical leash? Find out next time on the Reluctant Adventures of Larenti!

In case anybody wants to bitch about them using the EXP Share once they get it, don't. This game is very difficult. Gen 7 Pokemon are either tanks or they hit hard, and every single wild Pokémon can summon additional wild Pokémon at any time, including multiple times in a single battle. And pretty much the only hard hitting move you're gonna have on the first island is Brick Break via TM (which, luckily, Gunbeak can learn).

TheTsugnawmi2010 The "will not be missed" was Tantor's attempt at moving on from the pain, largely due to his limited emotional range. In the beginning, he certainly meant it, but through time I think it more became a mantra for him to keep going. Remember, they made a point of saying that certain pokemon (Ivan, Slowmara, MC Pinchee, Coolhand Luke, along with others) would never be forgotten. Tantor's emotions were mainly limited to anger and hate when he set off on his journey, but he learned to love, be happy, and also be sad.

I want to think Nutsack did something horrible, most likely accidentally, that cost him his gym leader title and forced him to go on the run since his disappointed grandfather wouldn't provide him shelter, thus he took on the name Blue (probably from the mood he was in when his life got f**ked, again). Meanwhile, Lakigr somehow managed to survive getting chucked off Mt. Silver by Tantor, but suffered massive memory loss, making him forget who he was or what atrocities he had committed, so he wanders the regions seeking purpose, going by the name Red (probably from all the blood that was around him when he woke up from the fall).

You what I only recently realized about dark and ghost types, partly due to absol's description? They aren't evil: WE make them the bad guys. Darkness represents the unknown, the unknowable, which is why they cannot be affected by psychic attacks except by taking a shot in the dark, and getting lucky (MIRACLE eye). And so, we hate them. Mightyena, for many players the first dark type they will train, is based on a Hyena, which is considered cowardly, as it is a scavenger: it eats other animals, but can't do the dirty deed itself. Once again though, Absol is the final nail in the coffin: it tries to warn people about natural disasters, but they refuse to listen. The disaster strikes, and so they decide to shoot the messenger. The real reason team Plasma used so many dark types wasn't to hint at sinister intentions: they took in the type of Pokémon most likely to be abused, to be vilified, for something it has no control over.

Brad Jensen It's hard if you don't grind or know what to expect. My team was extremely vulnerable to electric types, and there are two prominent battles with electric types. I lost all 6 Pokemon to a magnemite because none of them could do any damage.

TheRichman42 Gee. I wonder why I didn't think of that before. Probably because you can't before that point. The only routes you can catch a Pokemon is Route 1 and Route 1 Outskirts, and there are no ground, fighting, or fire Pokemon there. I did catch a Growlithe and Crabrawler in Route 2, but you need to defeat the magnemite trainer before you can progress there. So unless you started with Litten, good luck.

Mateus R. de Andrade they said at the end of the Soul Silver run that it's canon, but not connected to the Lakigr/Tantor conflict, because they can't edit either of them into other game emulators. technically they could in Emerald, since Red shows up in Battle Frontier, but he's a random enemy, so it would be pointless.

I don't think exp share is for make the game "easier" or "baby mode" like people say. It's just to make it more convenient, and don't waste much time grinding. Not everyone like to do that, and if you do, great! Good luck for you but I prefer to spent my time actually playing the game.

this game so far is damn near impossible to nuzlocke, the games difficult and the routes are so long unless you use the rotom map for individual sections of the route

Litten has the best evolutions in my opinion! Rowlet is second, and third (which is what I chose initially then RESTARTED THE GAME ONCE I SAW ITS EVOLUTION NO JOKE) Popplio!! It has by far the absolute WORST EVOLUTION LINE EVER IN A POKEMON GAME!!!!!! And that's coming from a guy who has been playing pokemon since Red came out in 1997-98!

TheUndeadWitch He's fairly easy with a pokemon that has decent bulk. That Smeargle is one cheap mofo, but it only uses the weakest elemental moves for a reason. My Rowlet managed to tank the Ember and kill it, but not without my jaw dropping at the cheekiness of that.

James Holcomb You know, i don't actually believe that Sun/Moon is even possible to Nuzlocke by a design standpoint. The Totem trials are obviously meant to be difficult party-wipe scenarios, and some are extremely badly balanced to the point where reinforcements roster RNG is the only way to win if a certain starter wasn't chosen (looking at you, Totem Lurantis and your bullshit, Sunny Day+Weather Ball spamming Castform partners. May that bird thing that is the alternate reinforcement bless itself).
