What I don't know is why they aren't the same type. Or at least why _is_ Morning Sun normal and not fire? Fairy does make sense for Moonlight though

I agree with Morning Sun and Mega Punch. They should be Fighting and not Normal, because they would be considered too weak, or they should rename it to just "Punch" Morning sun should be Fire-Type, because Sunny day is Fire-Type. There are certain Faries that are linked to the moon. (Cleffa, Cleffairy, etc.) I thought doom desire was Perserrker's signature move. (Idk, I never played SwSh.) Also, 1 Last thing. Solgaleo should be Psychic/Fire, because the sun is not made of molten metal, nor fire, but the Fire-Type could represent the burning gases, and Volcarona is linked to the sun. I would leave the Psychic-Type to both Sogaleo and Lunala because their origins are based on alchemy.

According to their descriptions, mega punch and mega kick are normal punches and kicks thrown with max strength so it makes sense that they are normal type moves, but then again punches and kicks are fighting moves. I guess they are normal type moves to make them more accessible to everyone Thunderous kick is a kick thrown after a lighting-like movement, the “thunderous” in its name refers to the speed of the kick rather than its element, it does not involve electricity I agree that doom desire’s steel type doesn’t make sense, but then again jirachi uses its mind to use the move, and since dark type in japanese is portrayed as “evil” type, doom desire should just be a psychic type move, but since future sight exists I guess they made it steel type to have the same type as jirachi Meteor assault is an assault supposedly thrown with the strength of a meteor, it does not involve rocks to attack so it shouldn’t be rock type Fiery wrath does not involve fire, the description says “The user transforms its wrath into a fire-like aura to attack”, so the only thing related to fire is moltres’ wrath which has the same form of flames but does not burn at contact Moonlight is not a ghost type move because the user draws power from the moon to recover hp, a feature predominantly seen with fairy types such as clefairy of gardevoir Morning sun is not a fire type move because it doesn’t directly involve fire, the user just rests under the sun’s light

The galar bird moves makes sense for me as they're meant to imitate the type of the kanto counterparts, but not being the same. Keeping the thing they're not the same birds, but instead mistaken as such.

I firmly believe that moonlight is fairy type because of the cleffa line, as they came from the moon, and since light is mostly associated with fairy typing (for some reason), for me it makes sense. Also for the birds, if freezing glare was ice, thunderous kick was electric and fiery wrath were ice electric and fire, it would not make sense with both the galarian designs and their typing, since it doesn't match, i also do think it gives them more personality

moonlight makes sense being a fairy move, moonblast is a fairy move so it’s fine. also: the galar birds moves are *supposed* to sound like their respective type, but they aren’t, for that reason

Doom desire makes sense as a psychic move if anything since it’s the signature move of Jirachi. Dark’s not a bad type for it though.

Moonlight is a fairy type I get that and I used on every Pokémon game I played except the first two the other type of moves that they shouldn’t are either confusing or don’t make sense to me. For the Moonlight move it was a normal type until Gen 6 then it changed to a fairy type move. Could you make a part 3 and could it include Brutal Swing and Meteor Beam please?
