@georgezwick37178 жыл бұрын
there are mobile gimmicks that have the potential to be great game play features if given some more thought on their implementation. The Magnates for example could have been a great way add new multiplayer features like, co-op dungeon exploring, or visiting other peoples paradises. it could even have been used to host some sort of episodic series for post game (or post post game) in conjunction with WIFI. Basically it could have been cool and fun but was a boring gimmicky met as you say.

This is probably one of, if not THE best, songs ever used in a video game. The fact that the scene it plays in is just you telling your partner goodbye, that you've known this was coming and didn't tell him, and to carry on without you just adds to the emotional level.

Seriously one of the most emotional and heart-rending scenes ever in a game...even if it was happy in the end, everything before it is just heartbreaking. your partner returning to the place he first met you, remembering all the old times, everything you went through together, dealing with the fact that he's now all alone and without his best friend... Then seeing him completely break to pieces as Beyond the Sky begins playing... There are only a few things in video games that ever made me cry, and this is definitely one of them. No shame admitting that...

One of the saddest things I've come to realise about the mystery dungeon games is that now that Iwata is gone, we will never get these games back ever again. The new games are great and I enjoyed them thoroughly, but I noticed that unlike how I can replay PMD1 and 2 over and over again, I can't replay these ones because I can't find the kind of thrill to replay them. R.I.P Iwata, not only did we lose an incredible person, but an incredible series as well ;(

My brother got the game back when it came out so we still have it but he never finished it. He moved on to games like CoD and Halo on his Xbox 360 and kinda forgot about it. When i was little I decided to look up the ending to the game because he said he wouldn't probably be playing it and that he was giving it to me. I cried so much and have always loved this song. I kinda forgot about with all the school work I've had but I saw a remix and was instantly nostalgia'd when I clicked on this song. I'm thinkin about maybe continuing the game again since we still have it... Do you think I should make a new game or just use my brother's old save file? This was the decision that made me post pone playing the game and kinda drop it.

For the recent loss of my little brother, this game now makes me cry even harder when I get to the ending, and hearing this song lets me know that just like Vulpix (my partner in EOS), I shouldn't give up, cause that wouldn't be what my brother wants. He'd want to see me succeed in life, just like my in-game character wouldnt want Vulpix to give up her dreams of being a great exploration team. But Vulpix is lucky, at least she got to be with m character after a few in-game months went by, but knowing this, I just wish this could be the case for me as well, but i know it won't ever. But even knowing that, I still know that I will soon get to see my brother again, he'll be there waiting to finally get to be with me again, waiting at the gates of Heaven. Pokémon has helped me with my depression, letting me know that I must stay strong for everyone I love, for him, and for Vulpix...

I want this song played at my funeral. So I can relive all the amazing memories I had of this game. When I beat Darkrai, I felt so good. I hated him for all the chaos he caused, all the lives lost. When me and my partner came outta his lair victorious, I was so excited. I had just saved the world. Them this song set in and saw myself disappearing, my partner crying as I vanished from existence. Then, I cried too. I had a epiphany. Pokémon isn't just about the characters, the battles, the story: It's about the immersion. As you play through the game, beating Gym after Gym, you start to forge a bond with your team. Every battle becomes more meaningful, and the final fights become rollercoasters of emotion. I will always give this game a 5 star because of all the important lessons it taught me. Thank you, Mr. Iwata, for making such a beautiful game.

How could IGN rate this game how they did? Have they no heart? This game makes you grow so attached to the characters, it's OT even funny. Chunsoft (now known as SpikeChunsoft) better make a new game. And remember this: PMD 1 was gen 3, just before the release of gen 4; PMD 2 was gen 4, right before the release of gen 5; and PMD 3 was gen 5, just before the release of gen 6. So, that means that PMD 4 should come out this year, right?

Fock Yu I totally agree. I mean, the story was great, but it was too short. The gameplay was also way too easy. But I hope my theory is proven correct, because if Nintendo, Game Freak, and Creatures Inc. copy wrote the name, "Phantom Gate", not too long after GTI's release. So, let's hope that this is a new PMD game!

And Pikachu... Thank you. This game is literally the most heart-wrenching experience ever that could make rocks cry. I played this as my second ever Pokemon game, but I wasn't sold on the concept. This changed everything. I genuinely felt part of the world, it's camaraderie, it's sorrow. It showed me the potential of Pokemon. A story so masterfully told, so engaging, that it still remains the most amazing plot ever. This is why you should never listen to critic reviews. Try it out and you'll find a sparkling gem. The tears I shed in this end were genuine. Not because of the situation, but the fact that this game was... Over... And that was really upsetting... Seeing the character disappear... It was a metaphor. The doors are closing.

This song will never fail to make me to cry. The way it speeds up and slows down perfectly timed with your partner’s determination and sadness as your character fades away. The way the melody is both uplifting and saddening at the same time. The way it calls back to the song that played when you fist met your partner on the beach and watched the bubbles with them. Everything is just perfect. It chokes me up every time.

cat8752 It's more of a fading away than mature death. The only mature death in a mystery dungeon game would be in Pokemon Gates of Infinity when Kyurem froze a Hydreigon and smashed him to bits and actually killed him yet the game was E-rated which made me freak out.

I'm replaying this game. I only remember big plot elements (dusknoir, grovyle, ending,) but none of the character development. I still want to play through it again. when I was 6, the igglybuff special episode was the first video game to make me cry. For a 6 year old, that's deep. I remember this being a rollercoaster of emotion, of empathizing with the characters in a way I can't describe. That is why, after a decade, I will play through this game once again. Experience it once again.

My best friend introduced me to pokemon when I was about 6-7 years old. I thought it was the coolest thing. I first played Pearl, then he taught me about this game. Excited, I got the game and played through it. Now, something important, my friend had gotten Riolu and picked Torchic as his partner. I got torchic, so of course I chose Riolu and named the characters after their prospective representatives. So I play the game, get stuck on Dusknoir for a month, but finally manage to beat him and move on. After that, it was a fairly straight shot to besting Dialga. Then, I heard this song and watched the cutscene, crying. This game had come to represent my childhood friend, whom I'm still friends with to this day. Fast forward and my parents are divorced, and... Things are kinda blank for a few years. I vaguely remember things here and there but I didn't remember any of it. I sorta retreated into myself and video games, using the fantastical worlds as an escape. I lost my PMD cartridge sadly. One day while at game stop, I see the game and remember it fondly. This is after a certain incident that made everything stop being just a blur. I play the game and have a ton of fun, almost as if it was my first time. But it was too familiar. But still, I played through it. Then I heard this song and just started crying, because I knew it. I knew it in my heart. It reminded me of another time... A better time, where my world wasn't fractured and things were actually good. I've played through this game countless times since, and it is definitively my favorite game of all time, because of what it represents for myself. Of course, the game being fun doesn't hurt either.

This song makes me sad for more than just the storyline. It reminds me of how much fun I had as I was playing the game. I mean before I beat it. That seemingly-small during the game moment that never lasts long enough. It reminds me of when I actually played through the game. It was the aftermath of hurricane sandy. I had no power, I was cold, and I was bored. This game made me feel happy. That was last year. I haven't played it in a long time. I wish I could experience it all over again. Does anyone else feel sentimental about this game?

Was listening to this song after I ended an online D&D campaign due to internet problems. Can't tell you how sad I was at the lost stories and adventures that would never happen. It's like having a child taken away from me without the chance to experience its life. So much lost potential, so many people gone. And the saddest of all, is all my friends gone. Well at least I can hope to revisit the world someday when circumstances are better. See you in the future, Crynmawr.

I’m 17 now and am not ashamed to say Pokémon helped me through rough times. And to all you youngsters i say this... Never grow up!
