For what it's worth, I recall there being a mention of Pokémon not understanding the exact words of humans so much as the emotions they have. Wish I could remember the source of that, but it'd make sense if that was the case and that they memorized certain sounds to be associated with stuff like attack names.

I somehow was able to catch entei in my childhood leaf green just by slowly lowering it’s health and throwing great balls. When I learned about the glitch, I couldn’t believe that it somehow never despawned. 7 year old me got soooo lucky.

I'm surprised that you got Latios before Latias. I'm more surprised you caught Latios before fully evolving Treecko. All the remaining Pokémon you need(except Latias) is on the ruby board, but at least you can reset the game for those.

Gamestop is changing in an attempt to get with the times. They had a failing business model, and they're trying to correct it. More than most companies would do. Most companies just liquidate all their assets and make no real improvements after declaring bankruptcy. The fact that they identified problems they had and at least ATTEMPTED to fix them is better than I expected from them. I still don't shop there anymore, but it's endearing that they're trying.

i don’t get the appeal of funko pops either. the only ones i like are the venom ones and other ones like that, because their specific nonhuman face is necessary for the design, so they can't have that blank, dead-eyed, mouthless face that all other funko pops have. even then, though, pretty much any other figure looks better

Yeah Funkos kinda ruined the figurine market a bit, I've only bought one Funko and it was a super marked down Dan Hibiki one

Agreed with the eyes thing. I have a Kuriboh one because it doesn't have the creepy black eyes, lol.
