This run was a roller coaster of emotions. Starting from there's no way you're getting the WR, so many red splits. To okay, woah that was a 45s time save and pink splits from nowhere, to that comical freeze kill by machamp and ending with a wow, how on earth did you WR that mess of a run.

Zorua87 I think the main reason is that you don’t get Hidden Power in Jubilife City in Platinum like you do in DP. Chimchar can’t really beat Roark or his gym trainers without it unless you spend time grinding until it evolves. Piplup/Prinplup/Empoleon also has access to most of the HMs, which is handy.

It has the best amount of match ups on average, he doesn't have to go out of his way to get a Pokemon that can surf and waterfall, he has attacks that can attack both enemy Pokemon in double battles, all this saves precious time
