Legends looks like it has a ton of potential, with a different developer on the remakes hopefully they have time to add a ton of polish and content. They're on the right track but some of the framerates and animations need work. With different developers for each game hopefully they have enough time and resources.

I feel like the whole "generation" each year/every other year is what they're trying to break here, hence why there are different generations being used for this games starter. Having to redo the same kind of formula might be getting bland for them too and instead they've decided to focus on telling a story/developing gameplay over having to design entirely new pokemon each time. Personally I think that we've got so many pokemon that we don't need a new batch every year, and instead we can just do this more interesting games with what we've already got.

An open world Pokemon game is a dream come true, and glad the series is trying it, hopefully not just as a one-off, but if you rewatch the footage, the visuals for Legendss are REALLY rough. Even compared to Sword/Shield and Let's Go, which already had a lot of criticism of poor graphics, Legends looks notably worse, frankly to the point where it didn't look ready to show off. The Diamond/Pearl remakes also seem to have worse lighting, character model shaders, and general details then Let's Go did. I'm not expecting Pokemon games to be graphical powerhouses, but I don't think it's unreasonable to want them to at elast look as good as a prior game in the series on the same system from 3 years ago

I experienced such a rollercoaster of emotions once they hit that "2007!" When starting the remake announcement, but overall I'm very happy with this presentation. Funny enough, I was wondering what ninjas are doing in the Pokemon universe thinking about Janine and Koga, but seems Legends will answer that lol. It's looking pretty clean right now, and i love the idea of using the history/legend focused Sinnoh for our first main series PREQUEL. Also, at first Brilliant/Shining was jarring but I think it's cool they're doing a more 1:1 remake as long as it builds on the ogs with improvements and new things

I think it's super smart to outsource the remake to another dev team and also to have a new traditional game + a new innovative game. I'm actually proud of Gamefreak for doing something so new. Sword and Shield kinda had me doubting Gamefreak's creativity. I also wasn't super into the remake artstyle BUT I would still play it for sure. I don't hate the art at all.

Pokemon Legends chose Interesting choices for Starter Pokemon (some of them sorta make sense, in a way to relate to Gen 4 Sinnoh): Oshawott is a Gen 5 Pokemon to come right after Gen 4 Sinnoh, For Cyndaquil: Gen 4 did do the reboot for Gold & Silver with HeartGold & SoulSilver for Gen 2, but Rowlet might be a stretch since it's a Gen 7 pokemon (which is a huge Generation Gap); but Rowlet's evolution into a Ghost type might give it a type match-up/stalemate against the Normal type Legend god Arceus

For those who didnt noticw, the pokemon starters are chosen due to what they can symbolise. Rowlett is an Archer thus the bow, Oshawott is a samurai so a katana sword and cyndaquil is a gun/cannon !

To me the hypest part of Legends is that you're making Sinnoh's first pokedex. That's such a unique main goal for a pokemon game, and it gives you an actual awesome role in the lore of the world! Having a game where your main goal is ACTUALLY about catching pokemon, including a mysterious legendary, is just brilliant. Really hope they do it right

The Pokemon Legends Arceus has me crazy hype and has a lot of potential. It will be awesome to see how the pokemon was in ancient times. There is a possibility that you as the main character will be the one creating the sinnoh region, like for example the elite four and also being the first champion. Maybe we will meet the grandma of Cynthia in her youth? When the Pokemon company will see that this game is selling well, they will make these types of games for more regions. That brings the hype for me, because just imagine you going back in ancient times for the Unova region. You will experience the war between the ancient kings who held Zekrom and Reshiram. The same can be said about the ancient times of the Hoenn region, where the burned tower hasn't been burned out yet and you will experience how that happened and the tale behind how entei, suicune and raikou were created. I also heard that the logo on peoples shirts means Team Galactic in Japanese or/is connected to the nam Team Galactic somehow. So it will be interesting to see how that unfolds.....

shining pearl and brilliant diamond being made by ilca who made Pokémon home seems like their testing them to see how it's received, as its basically every inch the same as its predecessor and they're bringing it into 2021, we might see ilca doing the same to other previous Pokémon generations modernizing them for the switch, legends is an interesting spin on the genre it looks promising if it's done right. Doing a more traditional remake fo diamond and pearl was a good idea. It was time for gf to move on with the future, but it would seem a shame for them to not do diamond and pearl. I get some people were still disappointed, but i was glad they went that route.

Welp, now I need things like Pokemon Legends: Rayquaza where you witness the construction of the sky tower, or Pokemon Legends: Kyurem where you witness the original dragon split in 2 and leave the husk of kyurem behind, etc.

The fact GameFreak is trying something NEW is insane to me. The remakes look fine, but they seem way low budget in comparison to even SwSh.

There will be 7 mainline games on shelves for Switch by 2022. No matter what your opinions are on art direction, it's nice to have diversity when it comes to the kind of Pokémon game you want to experience. Each pair of Pokémon game is a different experience in gameplay and in graphical direction, which is appreciated in an age where annual series diversity is a rarity. There is a Pokémon game for every kind of player, and to me that's far more important than what the fans think of graphics

If Legends is a thing that's going to be the future of the series I really hope we get a game where we get to see the Pokèmon Kyurem was before Zekrom and Reshiram split from it. We could also get Johto where we could see what the legendary Beasts were originally before Ho-Oh resurrected them when the tower burned down. Maybe even the Kalos War. There are just so many possibilities! I'm excited either way!

I don't think I've ever been so excited for a video game. Pokemon finally delivers on everything I've ever wanted, plus more with Legends Arceus. I'm so ready to relive my childhood

Legends totally looks like Game Freak is testing the waters for the future of the mainline Pokémon series. I’m here for it! I think a lot of people have been waiting for a Pokémon game like this.

This is great but being level headed now what else would we do in an open world like this besides doing the usual catching and battling pokemon? I feel like there needs to be more to it than just that.

I was expecting Sword/Shield style for DP remakes, but that's because I never expected them to do something like this with BDSP Remakes. But I am happy they did, I like this far more than If they went Gen8 or LGPE style. These look so close to originals and keep the feel and love that, I really wish they can do a separate series of Mainline Pokémon games that follow the classic style Pokémon feel.
